This is the modern brushed brass I was looking for. Not too yellow and not antiqued. I was disappointed that the assembly of the fixture at time of manufacture didn't exactly line up the vertical lines of the fixture perpendicular to the two mounting screws. As a result, instead of the two mounting screws being level, they are slightly askew in order to get the fixture to be truly vertical. I'll live with it for the price. The lampshades are nice too.
