Small but not so mighty

I use this on my bike for commuting. It lacks the bass and volume of the larger Anker Soundcore Icon that I lost. At 20mph the wind drowns out the music. This is fine for poolside tunes or a campsite but it's not powerful enough for active outdoor activities.

Not worth the money

I had gotten the anker wireless speaker and thought since this was made by the same company it would be a good speaker. The sound is alright but the battery life sucks, it doesn't even last the 8 hours it says it does. The only good thing about it is that you can attach it to something and take with you and that's about it. I wouldn't waste my money on it.

Poor design

I love ANKER products. However, this product Icon Mini Speaker loses points. The other speakers I've purchased have been solid in being able to put it on a table and it doesn't fall over. The mini is rounded so you have to make sure the surface put on is completely flat and level making sure never to bump it, making it fall on its back or front. It's got great quality, battery life and convenient portability wise. Just poor design.

Just OK Sound with a Glaring Flaw

Having previously owned and used Anker's Soundcore Sport for several years, I was excited to get and try my brand new Soundcore Icon Mini. Unfortunately my excitement was short lived. The sound quality was similar if not slightly worse than my previous Soundcore Sport. The new Soundcore Icon Mini has a similar size main driver, but add's a passive radiator to help add some low-end bass. But the glaring flaw that will make me return this is that it's nearly impossible to stand the speaker upright without it falling over. The bottom of the speaker is not perfectly flat and has a subtle curve which makes it extremely susceptible to falling over. How no one thought of this is beyond me. If you're in the market for a waterproof speaker under $50 I'd check out UE's Wonderboom.

Was hoping this would be a good addition

I have 2 pairs of the in ear headphone from anker and they work great but i have had some issues with this speaker since I got it. Battery life is nothing like stated (won't make it thru a 6hr day), and when connected I get a good amount of static when streaming or playing music from my phone. The phone is never more than a few feet away so I have no idea what the issue could be. I guess I'm back to using my other brand of speaker for now.

Short battery life

I used two other portable speakers in the past. Their battery life was as advertised. This one won't last very long, say, you play an hour or so at most every other day, and it will be out of battery by end of the week. Could be just this one, but that's what I experienced.

Works ok, not great

Love Anker products, but this was a disappointment. It works fine, but it just doesn't get very loud and doesn't sound much better than a cell phone.

Awful battery quality

I received this speaker 5 months ago at the beginning it was ok, not lasting the 8 hours advertised, i didnt used this everyday, like 2~3 times a week but last week i noticed that battery was dying way faster like 3 hours of usage, and time decreasing with every use, now it wont even last 2 hours, what a piece of junk, not buying anymore from anker, i cant even ask for a replacement because i live outside us and they ask to send the broken item and form where i lived doing that, the shipping will cost me like $90 so NOPE.

Battery sucks

I have purchased dozens of Anker products, from chargers to batteries to the charging plugs. I even bought a few Bluetooth speakers over the years. When I purchased this one, it was to replace its older model, which I had for about 5 years. Worked great, but the battery was finally wearing out. The natural expectation was to purchase the newer model because it had a new, fresh, long-lasting battery. I WAS WRONG!This is the first blemish on Anker’s record in my relationship with the company, but I’m deeply disappointed. This speaker is meant for the shower. Low usage over short duration, but when I go to turn it on it’s already spent. How? I didn’t even use it but once since I charged it two days before. I’ve missed my window to return it, but BUYER BEWARE!
