I purchased this product to Skype with a soldier overseas. I wasn't sure since the price was so great how good the product was, but I was nicely surprised. It was extremely easy to install onto my laptop and the picture was great as well. Sound quality also good. Excellent for video calling. I look forward to using this to communicate with my fella while he is away.
I purchased this camera for sixty-four dollars two years ago. This camera is so easy to use and install. I think it is safe to say, if you can read and follow directions, you can set it up yourself. The quality of the video and sound is absolutely wonderful. You can take snap shots too. At this great price I am purchasing another camera for a grandma to be who is a flight away from her expectant daughter. Grandma will have this camera is plenty of time to stay in touch with her new grandson. In the computer lab 5th grade students used this camera for their claymation video. Easy to use, great quality and great value!
I went to buy a product of lesser quality and price and found this on sale for less money.The other item was not HD but this is. Good clear image.If you're using for skype,just take it out of the box and plug it in,it's that simple

You can record videos at 1280x720 resolution. The frame rate for my videos was 15fps. The specs say it can go as high as 30fps but there is no way to manually change it. You can record in lower resolutions for a smaller file size. The files save in .wmv. You can take a photo at a max resolution of 3mp. That is 2048x1536. The quality over skype is great if you have a decent internet connection. The quality will obviously be lower if the person sending/receiving it has a really slow connection. On wifi people on the other end said it was super clear video. Mic works great. You can talk at a normal tone and the audio comes out VERY clear on playback/over skype. There is no noise in the images at all. Even in the dark with the monitor as an only light source your face is illuminated without the image being grainy. Great camera for only [$].
I bought a new computer and wanted to test Skyping with my grandkids. Ordered online - picked up in store - 5 mins home - 2 minutes to plug in and test. Voila! Great picture, too! Thanks, Target and Logitech
