Instead I would say its a medium weight.Just enough for them to hang perfectly in place. A nice kinda silky feeling linen. They look so pretty in my space.I definitely need to get some more for my other rooms.I am very pleased with these drapes from how the feel to how well they hang.Even the way they came packaged on a hanger. They have kept my room dark and cooler with no light at all coming in by the window. The stitching stayed in tack when washed and did not unravel. The curtains are what I expected from the Martha Stewart brand.
