Purpose of this was to help with the hard water we have. I have thin, natural blonde hair. Our water was making my hair so difficult to manage. My hair is much softer and easier to brush. So far this is helping along with kitsch shampoo and conditioner bars. It was easy to install.
I would experience irritated red eyes after showering without this filter, the reason for that is because there are levels of chlorine in my local tap water that I didn't know about! After installing the filter it doesn't look like I went swimming in chlorinated pool without goggles. I can't wait to see more benefits!
Ok. I love reviews. I love to read them and write them. I was only the fence about which shower filter I wanted because of a lot of factors. First the quality and lastly pricing. I compared about 6 or 7 and I went from top of the line (supposedly) price wise and all the way to the bottom. I am really pick and know what this should feel like because my whole house had softener at one point. This not only exceeded my expectations for quality and how much less soap I have to use to the price. It is a win win. If you want a filter that improves your water quality, softer less itchy skin and very fair pricing. This is your filter. My skin has been less itchy too. You can feel the softness in hair too. I am getting ready to buy another unit for our second bathroom. Also, I installed this by myself. I am a woman obviously, but it came with the tool I needed and the pipe tape. Buy it. You will love it.
As a swim instructor I am constantly in chlorine. I got this filter because even when I was trying to shower off the chlorine, it never really made much of a difference. Now my skin feels much healthier and SO SOFT. I have ordered a second one for my other shower head and will be a long time user of this product.
we have mine water, had to put in an allocated water treatment system that uses bleach for the treatment. this filter has removed the smell of chlorine and the drying effect it has on your skin! I love it!
