Sadly this player (as it states in the owners manual) will not play actual Ultra High Def content. Also error messages keep popping up stating that there is a HDMI cable mismatch when in fact TV and player have deep color capabilities as my TV is a 4K 3D Ultra High Def LG.

When our old TV finally gave up, we got a new 4K TV and this Blu-ray player. We now have a very sharp picture from either the player or the online content we can access through it. I haven't fully set up everything, however, I do like the individualized menus and the storage of apps. The surround sound is great, too!
