UPDATE: These do not hold up to a large human knocking them over ... one broke in several places. I was going to replace it, but alas, this was no longer available. I'd knock it down a few stars for the price point based on durability. After having the traditional "baby gates" which were both too tall for some of us to easily step over as well as damaging to the walls, it was time to find a new solution. After reading the reviews I purchased two of these for our entryways to keep our french bulldog on the backside of the house. She is already trained and not a climber, so she has not bothered to move these or knock them over (though we humans have once or twice). A feistier dog could move these or jump over them, in theory. These come assembled and are tri-fold, making them easy to fold up and carry to a new spot when needed. They are painted wood and are quite sturdy. They are nice looking, too. My only concern was they did not come with rubber or felt feet to protect the wood floors. I added some myself, which help keep them in place as well. I'd purchase them again.

This product is PERFECT for the right type of dog - we recently moved into a three-story apt. and I was very worried about my 16 year-old pug just walking off the top stair and tumbling. This gate is perfect for the job - it’s sturdy, looks decent, easy to fold and leave in place or store. I don’t think it would be good for a vigorous, younger dog who would just push it out of the way. But for an older pooch, it’s just what’s needed. I bought a second one for the third floor. Highly recommended.

They are perfect for keeping our 2 dogs out of certain areas of our house. They are nicely made.

This is perfect size/height for our small poodle. She is under our feet in the kitchen. This keeps her and us safe behind the gate.

My little 7 pound dog was able to jump over it.

This is by far the best Kate I ever got for my dog. I have a Yorky and I don’t want her going up the stairs because I’m afraid she’ll fall down. I also have a large cat who can jump right over this. It looks pretty and it’s not cumbersome. You can slide it out of the way very easily. It looks like a piece of furniture!!

Works very well for our little escape artist!

Love love love it. It’s functional. It’s beautiful. It’s modern. We have an 11 pound Tibetan spaniel and he hurt his back going upstairs so often. This will now prevent him from doing so while the gate looks good in front of our stairs. Update: 2 gates are better than one. Our dog started going up the stairs from behind the staircase. The 2nd gate solved that dilemma. Lol

great gate for an active puppy. It was just what we wanted. Not to heavy to move easily. Stops our new Maltese in her tracts but lets us ease the gate open and slip through. I have two homes and retired. We are headed back to our other home tomorrow for a month and I am going to order 3 more of similar gates to these. Product well priced. So much easier to measure our doorways and pick from your selection than trying to match up a limited selection at the pet store. Would recommend all day long!
