Every button on this fan makes a loud beep, if you want to turn it off and you have it on the lowest setting it will beep 3 times. The control panel is really bright, someone said you can use it as a nightlight but it's brighter than a normal nightlight. The fan head does not turn independently of the control panel, if you want the fan to face you the bright lights on the control panel are also facing you, unless you make it oscillate. The two fan grates go together using some annoying ring that's a pain to put on, so have fun ever cleaning dust out.

Just be aware it's a 16" inch, the top Front discripton is MISLEADING as 18"... Then when go down way below, it's a 16 inch in writing... Be aware you'll receive a 16" fan and states on their operating manual.... Mislead on top headline. FYI, your choice.

The fan seems to be too slow and not tol powerful to hit you from even 5-6 feet away that would be goos in a hot house. Its good when close like 3 feet away a little but even at full speed its not really that good. Plus to put the wrap band around its very dumb wouldve been better to have been the traditional hook slides. But its ok but not very good.

It would be perfect except as many in the reviews had mentioned, the colored light was way to bright for everyone from my 4 year old granddaughter to my 34 year old daughter, and me. i gave it to my 30 year old son who wrapped towel around it because the lights were too bright. The description as to options, assembly, and usage were completely honest. I recommend the fan keeping in mind whether those lights will be an issue for you.UPDATE JUNE 2020 - I took off two stars. One year after purchasing it, keeping in mind that it wasn't being used from December through April, the fans stopped rotating. It hums, the lights come on, it oscillates, but the blades won't turn. Since Amazon is only a 30 days warranty and Costway's website shows their products as 90 day warranty, I am hopeful my Citi-card benefit will kick in and reimburse me. I have an inexpensive Oscillating pedestal floor plan from a local box store for $25 that I have been using for the past 4 years, that is still working fine. A $70 fan should definitely last longer than 6 months of actual use.
