I received product reimbursement in exchange for my honest review. This does everything. It can replace all my other gadgets. Slow cooker, steamer, rice cooker all in this. Plus you can sauté your meat first so you don't need to dirty another pan. It even has a cake setting. It shouldn't be called just a rice cooker, it should be a cook everything cooker. Can't wait to figure out what else I want to use this for.

A few decades ago when I lived in Damascus I used to cook in a very simple Kenwood rice cooker all sort of things because I had no stove and no pots other than the mentioned thing. When I saw this rice cooker with added functions I said aha, it looks like someone actually produced a rice cooker that can make things other than just rice. So I bought it as an option to avoid having lots of different pots and pans in my temporary home in Boston. I cook daily and having a couple of right size pots is important for saving time and energy and I don’t want to compromise the quality of the meal. So I made perfect white basmati rice, sausage pasta and spaghetti sauce using this cooker. It’s a versatile pot but I wish there were recipes for making cake in it. The manual suggests using prepackaged cake mixes. Well, I will try just to see the outcome. Another thing I wanted to notice is that Sauté-then-simmer setting doesn’t allow to sauté as long as I need. It will switch to simmer in about a couple of minutes or so. This is annoying. But other than that it’s a nice multi cooker.
