Just let it charge for about 40 mins, had landing wheels for smooth landings and takeoffs. Has a flight range of about 150ft. Made well, works great. Comes with remote control, rechargeable battery and two replacement propellers with replacement tool. You will need AAA batteries for controller. Great gift idea.

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] Had a blast with the Sharper Image Airbolt Racer. This is an extremely durable, fun and pretty easy to fly rechargable remote control (RC) airplane. Now there was a learning curve involved, since I had never flown a RC airplane. I accidently tested the durability of the Airbolt Racer by crashing it numerous times and even hit a pole. I might be lucky but nothing broke and continued to fly. A little trick I learned was to put the Airbolt Racer on the ground, accelerate (to see the direction it turns), stop, adjust trim, repeat until it goes straight and then fly. The only down fall is a shorter flying time (manual says an approximate run time of 5 minutes) and longer charge time but this little Airbolt Racer puts a smile on my face everytime I fly it.

Has to be lightweight to fly! My kids loved it. It seems to be made well given it’s a remote control airplane! Easy to get it flying. Really enjoyable!

The remote control is easy to use and I've noticed the range is about 160 feet. Which is ideal because you don't want this to get too far away from you while flying. This is a lot of fun that kids of all ages will enjoy!

The plane can definitely fly and it is fast!! This is our second remote controlled toy from this brand and we haven’t been let down yet!

It is made of some kind of very light weight foam type of product, so it is almost indestructible. It is very light weight and pretty easy to get flying. The controls are simple. We had a blast flying this little guy.

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] The Sharper Image toy racer plane has been a lot of fun for my young kids. It is pretty easy for them to fly and the battery life is exceptional. Most of the time I have to tell them the battery is dead (even though it isn’t) so that we can go do something else! You definitely need a large open area to fly this plane. The nose took some damage crashing into our driveway. So either have a really big backyard to fly it in or take it to an open field.

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] A toy that is a lot of fun! This r/c plane is perfect for a starter plane for kids. It’s a reasonable quality and a good size plane to control. Flying it take a bit of effort though. It’s best flown in a large outdoor space away from trees, houses, power lines etc. the last thing I want to do is get it stuck in a tree. It did crash quite a few times. It’s a lot of trial and error again that’s why it’s easier when there is a lot of space to fly in. It’s a lot of fun and my granddaughter enjoys learning how to control it. The battery is rechargeable so it’s simple to plug it in and it’s ready for the next flight.

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] For the most part the Sharper Image RC Airbolt Racer Plane is a cool toy. However, it does take some practice to get a good hang of using it properly. My husband is basically like a big kid and is not the best with coordination. Despite that, after a couple times of trial and error, he figured it out and got it flying somewhat better. Now, he's almost a pro at it. It is certainly not as easy as the description makes it sound. It might be for someone with a lot of experience with remote control planes, but not for a novice like my husband. The best way to get it going is by setting it on the ground and accelerating down the smooth pavement as if it were taking off from a runway. I definitely think kids will need adult help and supervision with this plane. The plane itself seems to be pretty sturdy, well made, and it has an attractive design. The color is bright and it is easy to see in the sky. The remote control is fairly basic and easy to understand. It charges with a USB charger. Overall a good product. Just don't expect to be able to fly perfectly right off the bat. It does take a bit of patience and practice. I do recommend it.

At first it was a bit tricky but the more you used it the more you get use to it. It goes surprisingly fast and is pretty durable.
