It is okay. It definitely zaps you because my husband and I accidentally touched the light while we were setting it up and got zapped but I am not sure that the mosquitos or bugs are being zapped by the light. I have not noticed or heard any bugs being immolated by the light. They do turn on at night like clockwork so I am hoping it works
