Not quite what I expected but it works as advertised.

It's a great idea and was a lot of fun until it stopped working after five months of very light use. Now it flashes once when plugged in but won't stay lit.

I loved this thing so much - it came with me on a three month road trip around America and blew people’s minds at campsites. Unfortunately, 1 year later it’s completely stopped working :(

This item is REALLY cool but I could only give 3 stars because apparently I have to find something stronger than a portable USB battery pack to use it. I have 3 different portable batteries (like for use on a phone) and each will only keep this lit for about 4 hours at a time. If I were to take this camping for the weekend, I would need a stronger USB battery of some kind and if I got more than one of these ropes, I would need multiple battery packs. I like the magnetic holders along the rope and they seem to hold fairly well.

We use this for camping. The magnets are useful when car camping. Lots of light output. My only issue is the amount of energy they consume, get a power supply large enough to to charge an iPad if you want it to last for several hours.

Not totally enamored with these...getting them charged up may not render them useful as I want to use them.

Mine stopped working after about 6 months but it was fun while it lasted and would consider buying again

I bought these for camping and I love how convenient, compact, and light weight they. On the down side they use up power very quickly and because of that they don't last very long.

I love the luminoodle but the battery pack is horrible. It doesn't last as long as it should and takes forever to charge. I'm not sure if I got a defective battery pack or not but I don't recommend the combo.

Extremely bright, very nice to have camping and I will say, don't waste money on the 5 footer, just go for 10. My biggest complaint is the usb plug. It is not like an ordinary USB plug, it is missing the casing that normally comes on it, so its just like inserting a memory card into a slot. The reason this is annoying is because If this is hanging, you have to tie the power pack to the light string or it will fall out. Also, any slight shaking/bumping/moving will also knock it out. For $40-$50 I would have expected/hoped for a much better thought out plug on this product. I still love the lights and use them frequently.
