Culligan filters reduce chlorine taste & odor for better tasting water and ice. They provide fresh, filtered water by also reducing select pharmaceuticals including ibuprofen, atenolol, and trimethoprim. Additionally, most Culligan filters reduce the presence of illness-causing, waterborne parasites, like Giardia and Cryptosporidium, helping you stay healthy when you hydrate. Culligan filters have an activated carbon cartridge that absorbs the carbon-based VOCs (volatile organic compounds) as they pass through the filter, resulting in better water. Culligan filters provide a compatible refrigerator fit that’s easy to install and replace every 6 months. I live alone and have a split fridge with a vertical freezer and hardly ever have to change my filter. It feels very durable but it’s not heavy in weight. Fits perfectly into its slot and you only need to buy 2 or so per year.

My water tastes great, and I feel good knowing this filter is removing potential contaminants from our water before we drink it. It was super easy to install, too. It took less than 5 minutes. I can't speak to the durability so far, since I've only been using it for a month or so, but I would expect it to last as long as any water filter would. I will purchase this filter when it's time to replace.
