So far, works great!

I was looking forward with great expectation to finally being able to purchase an I7 laptop. It came with 16 gigabytes of DDR 4 ram (only 1 stick, so it is not dual channel unless you add another 16 gigabytes). I was surprised how big and heavy it was. I thought I might have received an 17-inch by mistake, but the screen did measure 15.6. My main disappointment though is that it always tries to overheat. Even with a laptop cooler, it still runs very hot. It has tripped the overheat alarm, even with it being on a laptop cooling pad (with 5 fans). I purchased another Dell laptop from another vendor with the same problem...it runs hot and overheats, tripping the alarm too easily. I bring this up because until these past 2 Dell laptop purchases, I would consistently purchase HP laptops without the overheating problem. I thought if anyone was considering purchasing one of these, they should be aware of the issue. Performance wise, it runs ok but not as fast as I had hoped, but at least it is decent. The overall appearance was excellent, it looked nearly new. It weighs a lot and is bulky as far as carrying it around, but around the house moving it from room to room is fine, but it would be heavy and bulky to carry on the road.
