I like the braided cords because they seem less likely to get frayed at the ends. The plastic is thick around the charging pieces so it would be harder for them to crack. I used the cords to charge my phone in the car and in the house. It charged my phone fast which is helpful when you have a low battery and not a lot of time to charge it. The cord is 6 feet long which comes in handy when you need to charge your device from a far distance. My son can easily use it in the back seat of the car to charge his phone.
