The water shoes worked great on a recent cruise. We wore sandals to the hot tub area, and switched to the water shoes. They kept our feet off the surface of the "shower before entering the pool" shower, and provided good traction when entering and leaving the hot tub. They were also great for walking across hot deck. We kept them on when walking back to the cabin, so our sandals didn't get wet.
