They definitely close however they are not leak proof. I filled with water, closed and shook upside down and water came out of the sealed lid. So if the container happen to flip over with sauce or liquid in it and the bag was shaking it would definitely spill but I love the colors. It fits my egg bites what I got it for but I will have to try it out more and see how it works.

These are absolutely worthless. The first issue was that they don’t actually snap or it takes about 10 times to get them to snap. One side of the lid is attached to the container and it isn’t lined up well so that you could flip the lid on and easily snap it. The second issue is that it can’t actually hold the amount of food it says it. The lid is about half inch deep so you certainly couldn’t put 2 cups of soup in the so-called container because it would spill.

I wish I had checked reviews before I bought these and threw away my kids old lunch containers. These are crap. Definitely not dishwasher safe as they do not all close properly anymore. Or at all. The ones that DO still close are super hard to open. What a waste of money.

Closed once. Very poor design. Extremely disappointed that Target would carry some of such poor quality.
