The plastic part that holds the umbrella is held to the base with a single bolt. This wobbles all around. The base is made of something that leaves black dusk all over. Not good quality
The product description online states this base accommodates a 2.28 or 2.29 inch umbrella pole in the highlights and specifications sections. The receiver pole is only 1.75" in diameter, absolutely cannot accommodate a pole larger than that. Even the largest adapter is suitable for a 38mm pole, which is about 1.5", according to the instructions. I have a 2" pole, which is really just bigger than 1.75" in diameter so this product is useless. I bought it solely based on the description which would have been perfect for my umbrella. The product itself smells like recycled rubber and has a good weight to it, so that matches the description and it seems like it would be suitable for a large umbrella - but only if it has a standard size or smaller pole!
