A small hand held dirt devil is great to have around the home. The suction works well. There are 2 attachments for cleaning. To empty the vacuum is very easily done.To charge, there is a small place in the back and it charges in a wall outlet.Very light and easy to use - even for kids!A good purchase!

This is a really nice hand vac. I ordered the Dirt Devil to replace an off-brand handheld that works just fine but is woefully underpowered compared to this unit. The self-powered roller attachment is genius and absolutely perfect for stairs. Gone are the days of using my upright and carefully walking from tread to tread to vacuum the stairs. The Dirt Devil does a great job.My complaints are minor such as the vacuum is quite loud and the cannister capacity is small, but other than that I am pleased with my new hand held vac.

Suction works good for small clean ups. Decent power time. Only con is the brush on it doesn’t stay in place that great, any amount of pressure and it slides down.

I recommend this hand vac for carpeted stairs or other small spaces. Have not yet tried it in my vehicle. It is smaller than I expected (replaced a 15 year old corded hand vac). The rotating brush does a good job fluffing up the carpet.PROS: 1) good useful battery life -- vacuumed two flights of stairs in about 15 minutes (I am old and slow) battery meter showed 2 of 3 bars at the end. I would expect 30 minutes, probably more without the powered roller. 2) filter easy to clean 3) brush head easy to clean after reading the instructions 4) light weight and good balance (suggested improvement below)CONS: 1) the power brush head lacks a locking tab, vigorous motion can cause it to come lose 2) does not come with a wall bracket for hanging it up to charge, should be for the priceFOR MANUFACTURER: the power brush assembly should have two slots aligned with the bristles on the roller, to make removing/reinserting the roller require less effort. The bristles are getting a lot of wear, and it may need to be replaced sooner than I would like. OTOH the fact that I can pull it out and clean it without tools is great.

We use the handheld Dirt Devil primarily for quick removal of pet hair. Battery charge seems to hold for multiple cleanings of L-shaped sofa and recliner. It will require frequent emptying of dirt collected. Vacuum cleaner with crevice tool does the trick.

This vacuum is good for quick messes that are hard to get to, like the car. The suction isn't great and I find I have to go over an area multiple times to remove hair but it does a decent job.
