Worked really well for me to find those pet problem areas and thankfully there were only a couple so that was reassuring. Should have bought this a long time ago.

Great product

The media could not be loaded. I initially purchased (locally) a small pen sized UV automotive troubleshooting light that had only x1 UV LED and was likely not as useful as this Kobra x100 LED light for locating an oil leak on my truck. I paid $1 more for the pen sized UV x1 LED light at a local autoparts store than I paid for this Kobra UV light. It is sad to see the massive difference in quality and performance between the nearly equal priced products. Just goes to show it's always worth a look at what the market has to offer on Amazon. I even got same day delivery for a few $ more, and it was worth it! This Kobra UV light helped me identify the source of my oil leak in under a minute (it would have been even easier if I had used more/enough UV dye per the UV dye instructions). The whole passenger side of the truck engine was covered in oil spray prior to this UV oil leak check and it was not obvious where the oil came from without this UV light. As a bonus I could easily see where all of the month+ old dog urine stains were at throughout my house. My dog had bladder stones and frequent urination was a major issue before we took her to the vet for surgery to remove them. Based on other reviews I don't expect this will last very long for everyday use especially in a hot Texas climate, but I only plan to use it sparingly for automotive troubleshooting. I do know that heat is the enemy of any LED, and this light does run a bit too warm compared to other non-UV high powered LED flash lights that I have. If you want it to last, use it sparingly and preferrably in a cool environment. The UV light was very powerful using x6 freshly charged 2500mAh Duracell AA recharchable batteries. The aluminum handle was warm at the end nearest the light as were the batteries when I removed them after about 10 min. of combined use during a Texas winter night outside at about 35deg F. After removing the batteries my Panasonic AA battery charger indicated the batteries had a low charge. I never ran the batteries completely dead with this UV light, so I cannot say how long they would have lasted, but it appears this light goes through batteries quickly. The only issue that I can share is the battery cartridges can be difficult to identify their directional placement. They do have an embossed arrow on the side of the plastic that should always point towards the LED end or the direction of the UV light. I just took a black sharpie marker and colored the arrow and labeled front & back on each cartridge, so I don't have any issues the next time I use this light. I also do not store batteries in this UV light since I rarely use it and for safety reasons. I don't need someone else playing with it and getting an eye injury.

I was hoping to find black-light-responsive life in our woods. Pic shows a cute bug that had a surprisingly high glow to him from the flashlight. Hoping for more sightings in the future. Great for showing disgusting unseen messes in your house too.

This worked great. Found things that I never thought I would see. You think you clean your floor by mopping alone. Get one of these and then check your floor after words.

I love this flashlight! It’s brightness is great! The flashlight is SO convenient when looking for stains of pee or vomit my pets make. It’s a game changer when trying to mark the exact spot that’s dirty or soiled. I would definitely recommend!

Good metal item..expecting plastic...very pleased with my purchase.. it's a great product and I wouldn't hesitate to buy it again..good price too. Oh... think your house is clean ? Buy this and really find out...we will be cleaning this weekend...
