I like how they're easy to store in a specified fire kit. They don't take up precious space & they're lightweight. Great for a fire kit stored in your car for emergencies, get home bags & bug out bags.

These really are great. You need to place them on something so they are closer to the material you want to start. They burn real hot for about 8 to 10 minutes. I use them to start our fireplace up every night and they start right up.

Was a little hesitant at first but, wow. These little packets are great. I use two of them for our fire pit and they will get things going within minutes. This is with properly aged/dry wood. If you are looking for a backpack/camping option, these will handle it. Small, light and burn completely. All in all, great product.

These are great for starting fires inside and out. I can start a fire with the best of them but man do these spoil you. They burn hot and slow which is great for getting a fire going, especially if your kindling is a little damp. I put a couple of these in my hunting bag as well. You can never be to prepared and these do not take up any room at all. Get a spark to them and they will start.

I bought these to start my outdoor firepit. Most of the wood was dried out but still a bit damp from cold temps and recent snow. I had a stack of wood in there and lit up ONE of these packs/pouches. I expected to have to use 2-3 of these to get the fire going, but one did the trick and I had a blaze going in no time. These work GREAT. Highly recommend if you want to stop using kerosene, paper, or some other method to get your fire going.

I received a 12 pack of these as part of a Cairn shipment and have been repeatedly impressed with how well they work. A single packet is sufficient to start a fire using the wood in most Grocery Store firewood bundles (you know the type) and will get get a campfire going very quickly as well. I've not tested how waterproof they are, but they light easily and get hot fast.

I did not purchase this product from Amazon, but received it in a nomadik subscription box and took it backpacking with me this weekend. A couple of friends got to camp before I did and were trying to start a fire but all the wood was wet. After several attempts we used one of these packets and it burned long and hot enough to get the fire going and dry out the surrounding logs for use in the fire. They’re super light and work great. They’ll be my go-to for backpacking campfires.

I’ve used these for my wood stove and outdoor fires and they always light and get the fire going. I don’t need a fire starter to last 10 minutes in order to get a fire going. If I need it to last 10 minutes then I need to improve my fire making skills. It lasts plenty long enough to get a fire going. Love it. Also love how lightweight it is!

Finally, a reliable way to start a campfire! Excellent product!
