I have a upstairs apartment. The closer to the ceiling you install this item to the ceiling you get a better signal. I have a tension pole that goes horizontal, floor to ceiling with shelves.. I just put it on one of the shelves about 12 inches below the ceiling. I get like 46 stations. Its great.

Very well made and works extremely well. The key is placement. I have our antenna up high and on a book shelf about 10 feet from the tv. If you buy this antenna and have issues, just be patient and try different areas until it locks in to a strong signal. It will work with patience.
