This AC performs as expected and is easy to set up and use.

This portable ac unit does a good job with keeping the room cool, sometimes it’s too cold. I took off a star because it’s pretty loud. This is my first portable ac so I don’t know if that’s how loud all of them are? The instructions weren’t very clear, so you kind of go with common sense to put it together.

Easy set up. Good for small bedroom. It’s too loud even with night mode.

Target tried to go to bat for me when I told them that there was a big differential between the setting and the indoor temperature, but the only solution Costway had was to set it at the lowest temp, and basically said I shouldn't expect a temperature similar to the setting. That was fine when it was only moderately hot. But not when it got into the 90s and beyond. Take a look at the picture. The unit was set to 61 (the lowest temp) and it was still 85 inside. I would understand if the difference was only a few degrees, but not 24. Unfortunately, I bought this during an early-season heatwave, and made that first attempt at a claim within the return period, but didn't realize until after the return period that this unit would barely help in a real heatwave.

Doesn’t work. Plugged in straight out of box and the compressor doesn’t turn on. Company Costway will provide no assistance or technical support and has no working phone number.

I did a lot research on portable air conditioners. This one had a lot good reviews. But it’s weird the window kit and exhaust hose are tan in color and all the other parts and the air conditioner is white. In the description and the photos on-line doesn’t say or show you that. It looked very funny and tacky in our home. Like you pieced different parts together. Nothing matched. For that reason I returned it.
