I bought these to use on my camper awning. Although I've not had the chance to use them yet, I did charge them up and tested the lights. I am very pleased with the soft ambient lighting they provide. It's a nice white/yellow light and not so bright to be distracting. (think a tiny candle lights). For those that say the lights didn't work out of the box, I'm wondering if they made the same mistake I did. I charged the solar panel by lamplight indoors and turned them on. They flashed and then went off. I thought they were broke but realized it has to be dark for the sensor to work. (Duh. That's what allows them to charge during the day and automatically come on at night.) They are strung on a thin copper wire and the "bulbs" look almost like drops of hot glue. I'm concerned about the wire easily kinking if moved a lot, (so my weekend camp trips might not be the best use for them) but if hung up and left, they should be fine. Other than to test if they worked, I haven't used them yet so I can't speak for durability.

Two years after purchase these little lights are still going strong. They are hung under the bamboo shade portion of my upper deck awning and over the past two years have endured freezing temperatures, monsoon-like rain, piles of snow, and some pretty hot temps during the summer. The Pacific NW weather has been much colder and very hot over the past few years, and these lights have weathered it all! I have been pleasantly surprised by the durability of this light string. It has exceeded my expectations and outlasted all my other solar strings in my backyard. It also is always on at dusk, even if the day was very cloudy.

lights are very nice color I wanted (warm/yellowish as opposed to cool white which often is blueish) As far as I can tell they work well but I have had lights before that lasted years in all sorts of weather and some that have quit after a month or two and I haven't had these long enough to let you know which these will be but so far so good. I would prefer to have lights with only one function as it seems there is less to go wrong but this seems to be hard to find. I do not want flashing etc and sometimes when there is more than one function they "magically" change functions after being set and need to be reset which I assume may one day lead to them getting "stuck" on the one function you don't want. I think this mainly happens with the small mini lights rather than the fairy lights but I have ordered both kinds and am not sure which ones I am reviewing!

I bought 4 of these in 2016 and all but one strand is still working! For the price, you can't beat these. They are not really bright, as in they won't light your way if you use them in a strand. They provide some light, but are more for ambiance. For instance:I use white christmas lights on a patio for out door lighting at night while outside. They provide plenty of light to see in.These won't do that, but I put them in lanterns that I hang outside and they provide a lovely "jar of fire flies" effect that I get tons of compliments on.I haven't replaced the batteries and even after years, though they might be slightly more dim, they turn on every night.I've kept them outside all year round in our PNW rainy winters and they are still going! For $10... how can you beat that?!I just cleaned and repainted the lanterns so the pics look like the lanterns are new, but the lights are from 2016.

These are the neatest thing ever. They shipped fast and came just as described, but that wasn't the best part. Opening the box, they looked small and we thought it was one of those deals where they are not real life size. But after opening, the lights were just as long as promised, light as a feather and super easy to use. After a single charge, they stayed lit all night long. We strung them up in the mountains on the railing of the cabin and on the trees as you enter the driveway. And as there is no power at the cabin, they looked amazing. First time in over a hundred years that there were Christmas lights. We used zip ties to mount the solar cells in the trees and on rails. It was simply amazing the way they worked and the look of them. I am buying more. Now I have to do the city home too. Love them, couldn't be more happy. Just have to be careful unwrapping them. The little copper wires can tangle if you are not careful, but buying more!

Loved them!!! The lights look great on our staircase - and were long enough to go around twice (husband approved). Loved how the lights run off the solar panel (FYI charge the light solar panel as soon as you get it so it can be ready to go the next day). I've always struggled to see the stairs in the dark (i even fell once) but now the staircase is visible and pretty! Will be lighting up the rest of the yard and recommending this product to friends and famiy.Update: 3 years of usage so far and these lights are still working! No complaints.FYI: I live in California so these lights light up for me 99% of the time. But keep in mind on dark cloudy days the lights might not work or will work but not last all day because they won't have enough charge.

I bought these to put inside my gazing ball in hopes that it would glow at night with my other solar yard lights and they work perfectly! The lights are on a stiff wire, not the normal string, so it was a bit difficult unwinding them and putting them in the ball, but they stay in place and don't sink to the bottom. The lights make the gazing ball look beautiful, almost celestial. I've only had them 2 days so I can't speak to how long they'll last or survive the weather, but so far I love them!

The media could not be loaded. These little solar powered lights were perfect for the garden area I used them in. I have a fountain and wanted to light up the greenery behind the fountain. I had just enough lights for my project. The picture I posted I used two light sets. I was able to easily weave the wiring through the greenery. These light up and are pretty bright at night for such little lights. You can see in my video the lights I am referring to are behind the fountain hanging in the greenery on the fence. I would make sure you consider where you want to place the light panels. Mine are in bright, partial sun from around 1:30 in the afternoon on. They light up around 8:30 pm and stay lit until around 3:30am and slowly fade out. Definitely would recommend!

Great outdoor lights. They are bright and stay lit almost until morning. I have never had any problems with them and love them. I recommend them.

Nice heavy duty cord bulbs. Solar panel/ controller seem to be made quality although they didnt seem to put much work into water proofing maybe it’s a closed circuit that dosnt short. Only time will tell is they are quality enough to last. One is wrapped around a tree and the other is wound in and out of my deck railing. Night view looks amazing.2 years. I had them up in a few locations and the last few months they shorted out. Compared to the other solar products it’s worth it if your looking for temporary lighting, they kept there power for about 6 hours till light were too dim to tell if they are on. Charged up with little direct light and held out to the weather for 2 years. The other set got cut at some point and was useless but the last one held for a few years.
