Solution for automatic mode reset

I am still in awe of solar powered products. These lights give a nice warm light glow and ambience. Does not give enough light to do tasks or reading, but I didn't buy them for that. Simply for decoration. During the day, you don't notice the wire that strings and connects the lights which is a plus, but on the other hand, you have to be super careful when handling it because it easily breaks (these sets haven't broken, but I have broken a set from another company several years ago). I have one set in an enclosed porch and another set outside on a back pergola deck. The set outside has held up to some fierce wind and rain.I have read the reviews where individuals have experienced the lights resetting by itself to the mode that features all the patterns. I myself experienced it, but I found a way to fix it. You have to turn it off completely by pressing the off button for several seconds. Once off, turn it back on with a quick press and keep pressing until you get to the pattern you like. So far my lights have not reset for almost a week now. Only my second set of lights I bought from this brand has reset, and the first one has never done that. Hope that helps someone and allows them to enjoy these maintenance free lights!Update: July, 2022. So I have experienced the set of lights that are on my front porch reset once again. I noticed it was an overcast day and that same night, the lights did not light up at all. The next day it was sunny and by night the lights lit up but played the mode where it goes through all the patterns. Basically, the lights reset itself when the battery is drained. I never really experience with my lights on the back deck do this because it faces east and the solar panel gets plenty of light because it is located on the roof of the pergola deck. My front porch light’s solar panel is located on the ground. I might have to find a way to adhere the solar panel on the porch roof. Until then, I will be anticipating when it will reset and correct it every single time. Therefore, I changed my rating from 5 stars to 4 stars. Still better than dealing with cords that are plugged into electrical sockets outside that might be rained on.
