These things are pretty great for the price. I can't respond to longevity as I have only had them installed for about a month. They occasionally do fade to dim and then come back, but I think it adds to the atmosphere of the patio at night.They are a big difficult to install as there is a TON of wire and it is very thin. So either have help, or really think about your game-plan before unrolling any of the wire.I would definitely recommend it to a friend, you hardly notice it is there during the daylight - which is what I wanted. And I wanted something that wasn't bulky to avoid wind blowing it around.

These are amazing when they can get enough sunlight. Living in MN it gets dark by 4:30pm in the winter. Having a house with the sun facing the wrong side most of the day and an early sunset means that often these don't light up at all for us. If we could place them on something further away from our home they will work fantastic. We have a longer string on one of our trees and it gets some sunlight and they work wonderfully. I recommend this product IF you know you can place the sensor where it can get long hours of sunlight each day.

I wanted a low maintenance string light to decorate my front porch. This is exactly what I'm looking for. The lights are small like typical LED string lights so don't expect big bulbs. They comes in a organized package with the string light neatly wrapped on a cardboard for easy deployment.I didn't realize this model already comes with a battery so I actually opened the case. It's still holding up well in the rain after opening the case. If you plan on using it to light up a big area, get the two pack. The auto on/off function is great so I don't have to worry about physically turning the light on/off. The solar panel charges well even when it's not position at direct sunlight.

These lights are cute but they are very small, like fairy lights. We have had them on our tree for over a month, and they work great unless it’s a very cloudy day, and no sun at all which is to be expected with solar lights. They are durable and have held up well. The only other thing that was surprising is that the lights have several blinking settings, and we have to manually Change that every day to our preferred setting.

Once you get the lights on the trees/shrubs, etc., wherever you might want to place them, they work really well. The different options (always on, twinkle, etc.) add variety. They are bright, and sturdy - they have successfully survived several severe storms. You need to be careful when attaching the stem (which goes into the ground) to the lighting fixture. The screw is very very small and easy to lose. Best to assemble on a lighter, flat platform so you can easily see it if you drop it, or it falls. Also, I found the way the lights were wrapped to be cumbersome. But overall, once they're set up, they make a big difference and really light up a space.

The lights are easy to hang. We have them on our front porch. We live in the country where it is dark and just want a little light on the porch. We have tried to set the mode to stay still and bright but after about 15 minutes, they start dancing, dimming, etc... it's as if they are going through all the modes. Still glad I bought them. I love that they stay on from dusk to dawn. Being solar powered is also great.

These were so awesome when they worked. We un-boxed them and they turned on right away. They were so beautiful. I loved how thin and light the wire was and the lights had just the right glow. We purchased them for a camping trip and a week later we headed to the mountains. After spending some time hanging them in our tent, they wouldn't turn on. I figured they needed to charge in the sun for a bit. After a few hours of sunlight I tried them again. Nothing. I let them charge for a full day and they wouldn't turn on. I let them charge for two days and still nothing. My dreams of a magical illuminated tent were completely shattered.Update: The day after I posted this the seller contacted me and offered a refund. Excellent customer service! I'm upping my stars :)

Used to light up drive way

I wanted a solar powered light, with auto dusk to dawn control, for my chicken coop. I also wanted this light to be subtle and not too bright. I wanted just enough light to provide some dimmer lighting in the coop to help the girls find their way safely to the roosting bars. These lights are perfect. I did replace the rechargeable battery with a new one having a higher mAh. The original was 1100mAh. I replaced with a 2700mAh battery. I secured the solar panel to the coop, just under the roof and bunched the string of lights in an old peanut butter jar and hung it off the coop ceiling. It's been 5 nights now and the lights come on at dusk and stay lit for several hours. The girls roost safely each night.

I bought six sets of these, one of the sets was defective. Don't buy these expecting them to produce light to read by, they won't. They do produce a nice low level light that accents whatever you place them on. I would have given them a 5 had I not received one bad set. The vender responded quickly to the defective set issue. I was very pleased with their customer service and resolution.UPDATE: These lights have been working every night, outside and providing just the right amount of light under our pergola around the pool for the past 5 years. The rechargeable batteries finally gave out. I replaced them with like batteries and the lights are like brand new again. If any of these ever fail, I am buying the same one to replace them.
