It got to the point that I began to feel as if they were attempting to offer additional money to gain access to credit card information. Original review below. While suffering from diagnosed bronchitis I was encouraged to monitor my O2 levels at home if possible. I bought this product due to its star rating and reviews. In the end the inaccuracy of this product lead to a trip to the ER due to the products continued incorrect readings. I found that the monitor was usually 5-10 points off from the readings from those in the hospital and owned and used by nurses in my family. I wear a medium/large glove so I wouldn’t think hand size was a determining factor.

We wanted a second post ox so we could monitor two people at once. This was the only one available at the time, so we bought it. It arrived brand new, but is much cheaper in quality than anything else we have ever seen. It was very light weight like 1/4 of the weight of a normal post ox. We had a hard time getting it to turn on at first and had to rub the ends of the batteries a few times before the connections finally worked. Once on, it had a very hard time getting it to read the finger because there was little to no pressure on the finger like our other post ox. Once i finally got a reading, it kept flat lining me like I was dead when I was perfectly normal. I had to adjust my finger multiple times and finally got a reading... Then I had to wait about 5 repetitions before the readings were accurate enough. Seriously, by the time this one post ox worked, we could have tested all 5 family members with the post ox we already owned. Worst post ox we have ever seen.

I don't generally write reviews of products I purchase online, even if they're a bit less than perfect or don't quite meet my expectations, but this time, the product in question is so disappointing I feel compelled to review it. This Contec meter has consistently displayed my SP02 level at 93 to 95 over a period of several weeks. That's much lower than the level has been for me historically (generally 97 or 98 when I visit the doctor); so I assumed it was probably inaccurate, but I WAS concerned that perhaps it was correct. I tried cleaning the finger sensors inside the unit with alcohol, but the results were the same. I wondered if my SP02 had dropped since my last doctor visit in December (and it's consistently been in the 97 to 98 range over the years, through a variety of medical providers), and I looked forward to my next medical appointment so that I could determine if the Contec was correct. Last week I masked up and went for a six month medical follow up visit, and my SP02 was 97 on the meter the nurse used. I brought my Contec meter with me, and we compared the readings. Mine consistently read 93 to 95 while I was in her office, and hers (which is a professional quality oximeter) registered 97 (and briefly, 98). The nurse tried another meter...same thing: it read 97 over several tries, while my Contec meter moved between 93 and 95. While the Contec gets points for being easy to read and easy to use, those high star numbers can't in any way move the one-star overall rating I'm giving it because it fails to meet the minimum standard anyone would require in an oximeter...that it provides an accurate SP02 reading. Very disappointed that I wasted my money on this product.

This came broken out of the box. Never was able to get it to turn on - despite new batteries and correct placement.

This Pulse Oximeter is simply Garbage. Never buy it.

Item came used. Super unsanitary and unsatisfactory

Never worked. It's junk. Don't waste your money on this product.

Super cheap Chinese plastic product.

Used it twice and then it broke. Waste of money.

Would not buy again, we returned it, very inaccurate
