This device provides needed measurements in times of COVID19. The accuracy seems pretty decent as well as decent repeatability. My wife is a nurse and that is her opinion when comparing its measurements to ones at the hospital.

I purchased this as we had exposure to Coronavirus at my hospital and I wanted to monitor myself better . This was super easy to use . The readings for oxygen saturation were accurate , same as my work unit. However sometimes the readings for the heart rate would start of really low even though manually I had a different reading : difference of about 30 beats a few times . Also it drains the batteries very quickly too so that’s why I gave it 4 stars.

The unit is great and the interface is very well designed and clear. However, there is a design flaw in the battery compartment. One of the + terminals is a spring, and the diameter of the spring is wider than the tips of some AAA batteries, causing the battery to not make contact and the unit to fail to operate. If this happens just stick a little piece of foil on the top of the spring and then insert the battery. But the unit should be redesigned so that the springs are only on the negative ends of the batteries.

I tested the device for response on SaO2 and accuracy on pulse. It's response was as expected such that when I increased respirations SaO2 elevated but it consistently read pulse 5-5 BPM compared to a calibrated automated BP cuff and a manual count. Since I have several other means of checking pulse I am not concerned about this. It is worth the less than $30.00 cost.

This seems to be accurate. I'm not sure I'd trust it for a medical setting. It is easy to read. You have to take care in placing the finger. The laser needs to shine thru the fingernail. At 1st it gives a lower than normal reading, but when left for a minute or 2, it moves into normal, so give it a couple of minutes.

We ordered the pulse oximeters due to concerns with catching COVID and not realizing our pulse oxygen was falling low. We found that it would also help while traveling to the mountains as we know the altitude causes problems with our ability to breathe. This has been helpful all around as it is quick and easy to use! I've been able to use it to catch anxiety problems and this allows me to focus on my breathing to help calm myself. What a great added benefit! The only minor problem with this model is that we have gotten errors repeatedly saying that it can't read our finger (or finger not inserted). It eventually works after letting it turn off but we haven't figured out how to get it to restart faster

This is a very low price. It is OK, however, I am keeping my old one and gifting this one. The spring is weak and I am afraid this will fall off if I walk with it on to see if I desaturate with exercise. Also, the readout is a bit small. That said, this is a good price and the accuracy seems fine.

I was excited at first. But when I took the reading and compared it to my older pulse ox, it was reading lower for me by 4-6%. It read my kids fingers fine. They are in their 20’s. My fingers aren’t fat. Don’t know why it was different. Tried it a few times and it was still lower. Kept it anyway.
