I am not sure of the value of this. It does not come with any of the cables for the iPads or iPhones. It only comes with the cable to connect it to the wall socket and that is not a standard UK connector as it has to go into an adaptor. That being said , most people should have a spare UK power cable to plug into the transformer. You might be better off with double power plugs. Does effectively the same job. I am simply not sure this is worth it. However, once i have forked out for all the cables (the large ones look messy and defeats the object of buying this) it will do the job. Think again if you think it will tidy up your bits!

I develop apps and have a large number of iPhones, iPads, Android phones and tablets, etc. For the last few years they have been stacked on top of each other which is ugly and can scratch the sides. So when I found the Powerdock I was excited this might solve my problems and give me my desk back :-) But now that I bought it I am pretty disappointed with this Griffin Powerdock 5. Why? First, five ports is just not enough for $99. That is $20 per port and the parts for a single port are under $1 in quantity. Second, the design could have been a lot better if they had simply provided a clean way to dress the standard sync cable that comes with today's devices. It could have been a small nylon strap that you wrapped around the cord after looping it. I had to simulate this with Velcro bindings. It could have been a channel in the plastic that you could wrap the cord and lay it in and let the pressure from the cord hold it, or a little rubber band that you loop over the channel to hold the power cords. But what really irked me the most was the power cord was too thick for the hole for it in the side of the device! How could they let this slip by. Probably in the beginning the power cord fit but later some manager said to get the price down and found a really cheap power adapter in China. And probably never bothered to check if the cord would still fit in the hole. Point is the power cord did not let the dock lay flat. SOLUTION: Get out you electric drill and a 3/16 inch bit and enlarge the hole. Use it with caution as the hold is actually a U shaped area and the drill bit will try to crawl up the side of the adapter base. After you drill it most likely there will be some rough areas, so get out a small flat file and file down the rough edges. Sadly this is the only dock I could find. I guess you could see this as an opportunity for a company with some design skills beyond Griffin's.

Like the idea and design. Seems like the PowerDock needs more/better engineering so, it can charge At least 3 popular Samsung and Apple products at once. It does ok at charging 2 devices at once and great with charging 1 device. Gave up trying to charge 5 devices at once. Now it's just an expensive organizer for electronic devices. So, I bought a Power Strip from a reputable manufacturer and use that to charge 5 devices at once. It's a shame though, because I was really hoping to become a more "Green" power consumption user.

Pros: Fairly solid, nice looking item considering it's plastic. Cons: 1. Providing your own (long) cables makes this thing a total mess. Add $$$ for the short cables you'll need to tidy it up and you're looking at $150+ ...pretty pricey in my opinion. 2. Even if you purchase shorter cables, this thing has a "laptop style" power brick, albeit smaller. The power brick cannot be hidden inside the base of the charging station, and it's black, so it sticks out like a sore thumb sitting next to the unit if you can't drop it to the floor. If you're looking for something to sit on a counter-top, and you'll be plugging the unit into an outlet above counter height....look for something else. You'll probably be disappointed in the money you've spent. I could rig a neater setup on a counter by just stacking the devices on top of one another.

Does not function as advertised. Cable management is a joke, just takes up spade
