Saint Peter, or Simon Peter, was an early Christian leader and one of the Twelve Apostles of Jesus Christ. He is traditionally considered the first bishop and Pope by the Roman Catholic Church. This exquisitely detailed sculpt depicts the saint holding up the Key to Heaven and grasping a book in the other that reads `The keeper of the gates of heaven You are Peter, and on this rock I will build my church` and is finished in a beautiful bronze that looks and feels like real metal.
