Short battery life

Seems like this is a $12 generic buds with beats name on it.

Good build quality, mediocre sound (nonexistent bass)

Call quality and build quality is great but the sound is lacking. No bass at all (something I’d never thought I’d say about a Beats product, but here we are). I need something for zoom calls and I don’t want fully wireless because I’ll risk losing an earbud (again). Editing to add that you have to manually turn them off or they will just keep using battery until you do. Keeping them.

Mid

They’re alright but your paying for the name not the quality of the ear buds you can definitely find something better for 50$

Meh

Want to love it. Design feels great. Battery life is terrible compared to $20 generic Sony version I had before. Bluetooth was spotty but usable at first. After less than a year Bluetooth cuts out constantly. Unusable at this point and now beyond return window.

Good sound. Great battery life. But they don’t last!

Sound great. Batter life excellent. They just don’t last long. This is my 2nd pair. You can hear others, but they can’t hear you. Ugh! The latest pair lasted 6 months. If they would stay operable longer, it would be 5 stars. Do better Beats!

That’s ok for regular work out

Good for regular work out but not as comfy as I was expected. Very good battery life .

They aight

For $40 bucks I guess they are good but if you think you are going to get something with a good sound, look elsewhere. The volume is not very strong and the bass is low but I do believe a lot of this is attributed to the poor sealing of the earbuds in your ear canal. I noticed that when I pushed in the earbuds just a little bit to make the seal tighter that the sound was richer and the bass was fuller. Its just a poor design on the earbuds themselves and not the actual sound components. The mic on the phone actually sounds really good. I was impressed with it and I actually thought phone calls sounded really good as well. I have a pair of earbuds that the sound when watching videos and music is phenomenal but phone calls sound atrocious. Another thing that was really good was the Bluetooth antennae. You can walk really far away and have lots of walls in between and it stays connected perfectly. It also immediately connects back on if you happen to walk out of range. It doesn't work well if you have it attached to multiple devices as it will just disconnect from one and you have to hit connect when going back and forth between the two. Most headsets just smoothly work between the two. Battery life is really good. No complaints there. The wires though are a bit too long IMO so that if you want the mic and controls within reach you have this long curl of wire in front of your face which can be annoying. (see attached pic) You can just unseat the wire from the back of your neck and let it hang back there but the controls go with it. They probably could have cut at least 4 inches on the wire. conclusion: If you are looking for long battery life and are not too concerned with having loud volume and if you have particularly small ear canals, then these are good. But if your main concern is loud, bass rich, and you have particularly big ear canals then you should pass on these.

Meh.

Works fine, has usb c charge, but 1. Doesn't make a tone when powered on 2. Doesn't pair automatically when powered up 3. Doesn't show battery life in usual place where it's displayed for allother attached devices. you have to install the beats app on your phone and view battery % there. Actually, for 40 bucks, I would return these if i had not already discarded the box. Update 1.5 months later: Still "Meh" for me. The button to power on/off is very precious. I have achieved about a 70% success rate in getting them to turn on my first try. They *do* seem to connect automatically about 90% of the time (of the 70% of the time I achieve power-on in the first try.) So bottom line: There is a non-zero chance I end up fiddling with the things just to get them powered on & connected. And there is a bit of a longer delay than usual before they are connected. Still don't like the beats app thing. Apparently, there is a sound (most of the time) when the earbuds connect. This is really picking nits, but I have grown to find it quite annoying. Like, I actually roll my eyes at the final "sigh" of the tone. The worst thing, though: The battery life is ... not good. Maybe like 4 - 5ish hours use; about 8-10 on standby. ? Estimating as I haven't collected metrics. But I'm a heavy user of bluetooth ear buds, and I'm accustomed to battery life that allows all day off-and-on use without coming close to having to recharge by the end of the day. These require recharging at least once to get through the day. The big plus for me remains the usb-c charging. At least this purchase has taught me that is a valuable feature to me, and I'll be looking for it in my next purchase.
