Good features but the wire is super uncomfortable.

I go through these kinds of wired Bluetooth headsets about one or two a year. I put one ear in to go to sleep on my side while listening to an audio or sleep meditation. They fall out quickly, and the wired ones are easy to find in the bed the next morning. Eventually I lose them or the ear pieces or they end up behind the bed, etc. I also like the ability to have one in my ear and one out for walking in public or hiking, and it’s not so hard to find if I drop it, etc. The magnetic catching is a huge help. (I have arthritis in my hands). It’s common for me to carry a pair in purse as well. So suffice to say I’ve tried a lot of brands and styles. I *hate* these. I wanted to love them. I was excited about it being an apple product. But oh my god. When I turn them on and I’ve only ever connected it to one product obviously I’m intending to turn them on. The fact that I can’t turn them on and just use them is actually really annoying when trying to fall asleep. And I can’t use them for my other use case because the string is so long, it loops and hits my face. It’s like having a little wire animal that is obsessed with stroking my cheeks. I’ve even tried wearing it with the wrong ears in, and nope. It’s just so long and weirdly shaped, it won’t stop rubbing my face. I’m at my wits’ end with this pair. It’s not so expensive that I won’t leave it in the drawer for an emergency backup. And I like that it charges really fast, but I do find I have I have to charge it every day after going to sleep with it. It doesn’t seem to use less battery when not playing sound, like similar models do. So this will not be a part of my regular rotation. I don’t know how it doesn’t drive everyone else bonkers.

It's average

I like that it's wireless. Someone like me would lose smaller air buds so the connection rope/ cord can easily hide behind my hair. For the price I anticipated really good sound quality but I wasn't impressed, it was quite average and the battery life was short it seems

Randomly disconnects

Started off great, now they intermittently disconnect without warning. Sometimes they'll reconnect immediately after, other times they just turn themselves off, even with a full charge. First couple of months were great and worked as expected, but after that, they started acting up.

Good.

I really like these, but the one thing that sticks out to me is everywhere online, beats flexes should be able to charge and be used at the same time. Mine won't do that. I have tried so many times and I can't charge and use them at the same time. It takes them forever to charge so it's a bummer. I still use them and like that they are easy to wear and brightly colored so I don't lose them. :)

Beats headphones

They worked good up until I took them to the gym. Not sweatproof! After a couple of cardio workouts, they started acting up on me. Volume ramped all the way up and the buttons stopped working. If you use them just to watch movies or listen to music, they're great.

You need to have your own power cord.

There isn’t a usb connection on charger cord. The provided cord had identical ends that both sides fit into headphones.

Clear sound, good for music. But lacks bass.

Red flags out of the box

Immediately upon opening the box and pairing these earbuds with my phone there was static on the startup sound. While no sound is playing there is no static but when noise plays there is static. I can open Spotify and here no static then after a song starts I can hear it. When I pause it the static can be heard for a few seconds before it turns off. It’s not too loud and fairly tolerable but this is the second beats product I have had a similar issue with. (The other being the beats studio 3 headphones while using anc) although I can’t be sure if this is the earbuds fault because it could be other Bluetooth devices interfering and causing static, I haven’t experienced this with other earbuds. It’s bad enough to warrant a return but it’s something I would’ve avoided if I knew before hand. Although the static is annoying the different sized ear pieces allow for a secure comfortable fit and the sound quality is expected for earbuds of this price. The cord that comes with this case is useless but fortunately I had a cable with a usbc and a normal usb end that works just fine. Overall I would avoid this product and I don’t trust beats anymore. There are plenty of other affordable earbuds out there that are better than these ones you just have to look for them.

Annoying form factor and multi-use buttons

These headphones have a large horseshoe collar shaped stiffer portion that is supposed to go around your neck then less rigid connections up to the headphones themselves. This is fine if you are just sitting there but if you are running it is annoying because it is so big and if you are doing any kind of exercise that requires movement - especially any kind of inverted movement - the "collar" slips onto the back of your head and/or over your head. The feature where the headphones are supposed to automatically pause when they earbuds are attached to each other does not work. Lastly, trying to get all the modes to work on one tiny button that is barely raised and gives no feedback is very difficult, especially when you are exercising. These are all the instructions for the one button: o control audio playback, use the center button on the left control module: Press once to play or pause audio playback. Press twice to skip to the next track. Press three times to skip backward. Press twice and hold on the second press to scan forward through a track. Press three times and hold on the third press to scan backward through a track. To control phone calls, use the center button on the left control module: Press once to answer or end a call. Press once to answer a second incoming call and put the first call on hold. When two calls are active, this switches between calls. Press and hold for about a second to reject an incoming call. Press twice to stop listening through your earphones and send the call to your phone.
