Works perfectly! Simple to install. Just know that it won’t work on a dimmer switch because the dimmer fills up the whole box blocking the way for the SnapPower to make electrical contact. (See photo)

I needed these for a three way switch. They say depending on how the switch is wired these might not work. These were for a staircase with a switch top and bottom so I had to put them there. So I used a tester to find out the two screws that always had power when the light was off. I then modified the back and wired it direct to the two always on when dark terminals and am very happy with the results. I did not need them for a straight switch location which I am sure they would have been plug and play.

I love the SnapPower SwitchLight so much, I now have 3 in my home. The soft illumination guides me to the light switch. They are easy to install in minutes. For safety reasons, remember to turn off the power to the light switch before installing. Also, plan where you are placing these. I tried to place it in a hallway where a light is controlled by 2 different light switches (one on either end of the hallway). It didn't work. I didn't quite understand the instructions from SnapPower until this happened. The SwitchLights are now installed going into the kitchen, in the hallway going into the master bedroom, and more importantly, going into the garage. It is a wonderful added safety feature to my home. I recommend everyone buy at least one and try it.

First, if your switch has the wires running along the sides, they may block the contacts, you'll need to make sure the contacts get inside past them. Likewise, if your wiring was done by a good electrician, they often tape wrap over the contacts for extra safety and that has to come off now. Second, there IS a photocell in the front, so these only turn on in dark rooms, you can put a finger over the photocell to test it if the room lights are on.

At first I was worried that these would not work with toggle switches even though they are advertised as such. Once this switch light arrived I installed it in about 5 minutes. The reason it took so long was that I had to swap the toggle with a different one because it was 50 years old. Otherwise it's literally just unscrew and rescrew. I have already ordered a 3 pack for our other bedrooms! The light is not so bright that it is bothersome at night and also has an adjustment switch for low/high/off. Very nice product! already have ordered more and will in the future. Will also recommend to anyone that I can think of.

I have an older home with the jankyest wiring you ever want to see. I have tried several night light options for my bathroom over the past 6 years and due to the wiring and lack of a good product, I have had to just to keep the lights on in my bathroom all night every night for my kids. I stumbled upon this product while searching for an illuminated light switch. We have a garage under our house and for some reason the stairwell light switch is only at the top of the stairs. That meant we were always walking up the stairs in the dark and fumbling for the light switch once we got close to the top. This plate provides just enough light to illuminate the stairs but not so much that it’s blinding to look at while walking up the stairs. It shuts off when the switch is on. I included a pic, it’s not the greatest quality as it’s hard to get a pic in low light. In my case it was quite literally under a minute to install. I unscrewed the existing switch cover, checked to see if the side screws on my switch were taped (they weren’t, lazy electrician) and slapped the new plate in and screwed it down. My only complaint would be I thought that the price was a little high for what it is but if it lasts a while it will be worth it. If this review was helpful please click below.

I love this product! I read the instructions. Not a hard thing to do ... READING INSTRUCTIONS. Very EZ to install (when you read the instructions) & it works great (when you follow the written instructions). GET IT? This is for use on a single switch, that works a single light (that's in the written istructions by the way). Turned off my breaker box, removed the cover plate, located the contacts (the location of which are noted in the written instructions) & simply replaced my SINGLE SWITCH WHICH WORKS A SINGLE LIGHT (as noted in the instructions) with this product. Turned on breaker box & voila! A night light in a dark hallway (which has a single light, on a single switch ... as indicated in the description of this product, as well as the installation instructions, numerous times). If you've missed the sarcasm herein, then you didn't bother to read between the lines.

Take the old plastic plate off. Check Put the new one on. Check Screw plate back to wall. Check Done super duper simple and works great Used in my garage cause sometimes I can’t find light and I’m feeling all over the wall for switch.

This is just what I needed. My parents are getting older and I'm starting to have that "I'm afraid they're going to fall and brake a hip" thing happening. I have a black dog that loves to sleep in the hallway in the summer, needless to say...she becomes invisible and I kept fearing that sooner or later one of them would bite it lol. I've tried several options that have failed for one reason or another. From the motion sensor sucked, I don't want to drill holes but it won't stay stuck to the wall, to the batteries keep dying. In any case, this was super easy to install and it gives you options (low light, medium light or off). Plus the auto sensor takes the work out of having to remember to turn it on for them. It suits my needs and I plan on purchasing one for the living-room too. Yup, the black dog like to sleep there in the summer too :).
