J5Create is extremely reliable when your laptop doesn’t have multiple USB-C Ports. If you’re buying this device, please make sure you’ve got a dedicated USB-C Transfer Cable, one with gigabit speeds. After transferring a backup of 100GBs within 30 minutes, it’s safe to say this device is one heck of a purchase. Fancy enough, it’s compatible to a USB-C Flash Drive, so have fun with that. Although the device does indeed get hot after doing a large transfer, it’s entirely safe to handle within seconds after a complete transfer. I’m definitely recommending this to my classmates at UHMC as most laptops I’ve seen are limited to just one.
