Very honest
I didn't realize that the siding would stop me from being able to attach the unit.

I got this free from a promo and thats the only good thing about it. Kangaroo was offering a deal where you got reimbursed after you bought this through amazon. I already have the security system by them (WHICH I LOVE...BUY IT...IT WORKS FLAWLESSLY.) However this thing just sucks. Theres a delay on it which it barely catches the cars that pass. If you live in a city like place such as myself there are cars parked on the street if one took a hit and the driver ran off you wouldnt ever know with this camera. It might of not even taken any video. 90% of the time it gets when people come to the front door. I contacted customer service through Kangaroo and they told me that theres a delay in the system. Also if its activated by someone, and then someone else comes to the door within 20 seconds it will miss them. So if someone broke in...and then another person came 10 seconds later...you might not have them on camera. Its fine because its free and its just a good safety measure but by a RING its the real thing.

It was great while it lasted. It almost lasted a year but recently went out despite replacing batters.

This is likely most ideal for a small apt complex, a small business office or for someone who who may not be too tech savvy on an installation of equipment. The box says it has about a 70* (35/35) total view. It may 70* but it doesn't "feel" like that. This is our first doorbell camera so I don't have much to compare. The images are ok but if you're looking for crystal clear quality you may want to consider a different brand. Although the self stick option is most evident for installation, there are no specific instructions related to the screws, other than it's optional. Either the app or the package should include more detailed instructions. The motion sensor is very sensitive as the camera could pick up the flicker of the electric candle I had in my front window so I had to move it away so I wouldn't keep getting notifications. What I'm most pleased about is with many deliveries we get at our home, they'd never ring the doorbell, until now! Thus, when the delivery guy came over but only did I get the notification and image of him at my door, but he actually rang the doorbell! Yay!!! Overall, for the price, this is a good deal. Had my son still been in an apt, I likely would have ordered it for him. The only other feedback to share is that I wish the device would allow more sound options on the chime as well as to control the notification sound on the phone app. Because it doesn't give that control my general notification tone on my phone is no different for the Kangaroo app. Thus, I can't tell until I look at my phone if my notification is for the door or other apps that don't allow me to control the notification sound.
