My husband and I LOVE our "Summer Infant My Bath Seat". This is a great product. My son was able to sit up with very minimal assistance since he was 5 months old, and loved to reach outside of his little infant tub - which made bath time frustrating. With the My Bath Seat, we were able to securely place him in the tub. Installation is easy, just "unscrew" each leg on the side and behind then suction to sides of the tub and tighten to ensure stability. The My Bath Seat has suction cups on the bottom of the seat and on the sides, the cups suctioned REALLY well to our tub, we never had an issue with it. Since, our baby bathes in our guest bathroom, we just left the seat suctioned to the tub and rinsed it after each bath. My baby was able to sit comfortably in the seat and still reach forward and splash water and play with his bath toys. At around 7-8 months, my baby was able to stand and loved to attempt to stand in the tub. However, with the Summer Infant My Bath Seat, he wasn't able to stand in the tub - it held him in SECURELY, we never had any fears of him standing in the tub after that. The manual suggests use up to 10 months, my only disappointment was that we were unable to use past 8.5 months or so... my son just got too big for it, he would no longer fit. If your baby is on the smaller side (mine has been in upper 90s percentile and deliciously chunky) you may be able to use it up to 10 mo and possibly longer. We loved, loved, loved this product and wish were able to use it for longer and wished we heard about it before. I think this is a great product for babies who are able to hold themselves up and sit up with little to no assistance from an early age. This makes bath time less stressful for babies who love to move around and like being active and mobile. It truly is like a seat that offers great support - whether they lean backward or forwards. Most importantly, this freed up my hands for bath time, enabling me to bath my child but also engage with him and have fun splashing and playing with him. This made bath time fun and less stressful. Only cons are that we were unable to use for a longer time and that it was a bit bulky to travel with. Though it isn't a necessity for travel, it certainly made bath time in a new place more baby-friendly and less of a hassle for myself and my husband. Again, I highly recommend this product - most especially for mobile and active babies. I was given this bath seat to try as part of the weeSpring Parent Panel, all opinions are unbiased and my own.
This bath seat has been a life saver with my little one. She hasn't cared for the baby tub since day one, and as soon as she started rolling that was it. She would try to roll right out of the tub or out of the sling seats we had. The summer infant bath seat allows her to sit up and enjoy the water without me having to fight to keep her from dunking her head or slipping all around the tub. It keeps her in one space but allows her freedom to play. It was very easy to install in the tub; it took less than five minutes! You stick it in and twist the knobs to lock it in. It stays really secure too, which makes me feel safe about having my little one in it. It is a plastic seat, but my girl doesn't seem to mind. The back support is the perfet height to support but not let her knock her head on. There is plenty of leg space for even the most chunky babies. It can be a little tricky to get her out sometimes, but not any more difficult than a shopping cart seat is. Do keep in mind that it is built to only fit standard tubs, so it did not fit in my master bathroom like i wanted (it is installed in the common bathroom) but it is well worth a buy if you have a wiggle worm like me! I received this bath seat from the weeSpring Parent Panel to review, but my thoughts are entirely my own
I really enjoyed this bath seat for my 11 mth old. He۪s in that phase where he wants to get up and roam in the tub and the seat did a great job of containing him. It scares me to have him walking around or crawling on the wet slippery tub so this is a life saver. It was easy to install and I appreciate that it has a bar to secure it in place. I۪ve also noticed my son likes it. It entertains him as I tie a rag to it to keep him something to do since his toys float. Thank you to the weespring parent panel for sending it in exchange for an honest review. Will definitely recommend to other moms.
Thank you to the weeSpring Parent Panel for providing me with this bath seat! As a new parent, bath time with an infant can be a bit nerve wracking. We dreaded the day our little one outgrew the sink because we knew the bathtub was a whole new ball game with a whole new set of rules. We were using a fold up reclining bath seat that was okay, but we had to keep one hand on our little one at all times or she would slide off or sit forward and subsequently go face first into the water. The Summer Infant bath seat completely changed bath time for us. It requires an actual installation that can easily be removed between baths. There are three arms that twist out with suction cups on each to secure the seat securely to your tub. I was a bit confused on how to install the seat at first, but once I accessed the YouTube video advertised on the box, I quickly understood how to properly install the seat. It felt very secure and didn't budge an inch. I check it before each bath and it has always stayed in place and fully secure. While you still must always be beside your baby in the tub, this seat will permit you to bathe your baby without having to constantly keep one hand on them to hold them in place. Bath time is now more efficient and enjoyable! My daughter loves to sit up in the bath seat which allows her to play with her bath toys while I give her the scrub down. She's very secure but can still move around comfortably while in the seated position. I'm a huge fan of this seat and only wish we had received it sooner as our baby was 8 months old when it arrived and it's only recommended for use up to 10 months. The only con I've found to this product is that it is a bit large and could be challenging to store between uses. Regardless, this item will definitely be my new baby shower gift for all our new parent friends! Thank you WeeSpring Parent Panel for the opportunity to try out this awesome product!
One of the scariest things for me as a new mom was tackling bath time for an infant. We used a baby bath tub with a newborn sling until baby girl could sit with some assistance. We then switched to using the baby bath tub without the sling. And with each transition the fear of baby girl slipping out of my grasp, because she's soapy and slippery or pushing off the tub or twisting or rolling, grew exponentially. The more mobile baby girl became the harder it was for me to safely maintain my one-handed hold on her while washing her with my free hand. Life changed when weeSpring Parent Panel gave me the opportunity to try the Summer Infant Bath Seat. My days of wrangling the ever moving squirrel that is my daughter were finally over. Very easy to install, the Summer Infant Bath Seat is designed to adhere to three walls (back of tub and two side walls of tub) of your tub like a T via suction cup technology. The arms of the suction cups are adjustable to meet the width needs of many tubs and have a locking mechanism to ensure safety. There are also two standard suction cups that adhere to the floor of the tub with pressure. The Summer Infant Bath Seat has a backrest, a bar in front that baby girl can hold, and a partition for her legs. Finally both of my hands are free to wash and play with baby girl during bath time! She is a mover and shaker so safety is of the utmost importance. The Summer Infant Bath Seat gives her enough space to splash and play but not enough to let her slide around in a way that feels hazardous. And although it takes up a corner of space in the bathroom when not in use, we love the Summer Infant Bath Seat and use it every night as part of our bedtime routine. It has proved to be the perfect transition tool from the infant bath tub as baby girl grows into using the adult tub. Thank you to weeSpring Parent Panel for sending us the Summer Infant Bath Seat to try and review. Now bath time is enjoyable for both baby and mommy!
I am a mom to two boys ages 23 months and almost 10 months. Bath time was starting to become a challenge with my youngest. He is reaching milestones faster than his older brother. One of these milestones was pulling himself up and trying to reach over the side of the bathtub basin that I was using. His actions in the bath tub basin make me worry that he was going to fall out and hurt himself. Luckily, the Summer Infant My Bath Seat is most helpful at safely containing my little escapee. It also allows me to safely bathe both of my children at the same time. I could never do this with the basin, it was always two baths to accommodate each child. The installation process was very simple. The pamphlet enclosed with the seat was very clear and easy to understand. I also used the video prompt by texting the special code on the box. The visual demonstration was a great aid. I love how the steps are clearly written on each part of the seat as well. This was a third method I used to install the seat. After using all of these tools, I felt confident the seat was secure. I wish other products like car seats were this thorough! My son was well supported and comfortable. He enjoys bath time and is able to splash and play without missing a beat. I once borrowed a different brand bath seat for my son to use from a relative and he did not like that seat. He cried whenever I tried to put him in said borrowed seat. I think the My Bath Seat is very safe and secure. All of the suction and pressure arms keep the seat very secure in the tub. I do not have to worry about the seat detaching from the tub. This was an issue I encountered with the borrowed bath seat that prompted me to discontinue use of that seat. Overall, I feel that the pros of the My Bath Seat outweigh the cons. I love the 4-point secure suction; the rounded back of the seat and molded bottom for comfort; the neutral color scheme; the ease of installation with multiple resources; and how simple it is to lift baby in and out of the seat. The only cons of the seat that I found were that the back support arm can be a little difficult to collapse when removing. You need to apply a decent amount of pressure to collapse it. I pinched my finger the first time I took the seat out to clean my tub. However, you want a sturdy arm so it is not a con in the safety aspect. Also, it can be a lot of work taking the seat out and reinstalling when it comes time to clean your tub. These aren't deal breakers, just things that I noticed when using the seat. Thank you to WeeSpring Parent Panel for sending me this bath seat to try and review!
