Very nice

Rule number one: Read The Friendly Manual. The box: It works the same as a pizza box, easy to open and the foam insert keeps everything in place. 10/10 all small RCs should do this. The preperation: USB charger so if you bring a powerbank you can take it pretty much anywhere. Landing gear is friction fit into plastic slots, easy in and out if you choose to use it. I usually fly over grass but that may change, this thing can do touch-and-gos. The battery compartment is a little tight and comes with a securing screw which it doesn't really need. 9/10. The flight: The flight computer is very powerful, it controls the maximum angles of attack for all axiis. For hand launching when you give it throttle it automatically pulls up, it climbes for a bit but it does level off once it picks up speed. For rolling takeoffs just give it full power and full up, the computer won't let it stall. It will climb very fast, it will descend very fast (and all the way to the ground if you tell it to). It has a maximum roll angle and uses differential thrust to counter adverse yaw. In no-wind it flies on rails. 10/10. The landing: If belly landing just power off and pull up a bit. If you have wheels it's a bit more tricky, the maximum up angle is high enough that it will tail-strike, and the landing gear is very springy, so it is possible to flip it on a hard landing. It may be possible to do long wheelies with differential thrust steering, more experimenting is needed. Both the plane and the controller have speakers in them and will insistantly beep at you when the battery is running low. 9/10 (devs: maybe move the main gear back a bit to avoid tail-strikes?). Complaint 1: I had hoped for an advanced mode to turn the angle limiter off and give full differential thrust authority, I'd love to see this do inverted flight and stall-turns. It's got the power. I'm probably going to buy another one to convert to hobby-grade. Complaint 2: While the USB charger is reasonably quick, it would have been nice to have 2 batteries out of the box.

Fantastic

This is exactly the kind of airplane I have wished for ever since I was a kid flying a plane attached to a string that could only go around in circles. It takes a few minutes to figure out how to level it out and get some speed going and you should be prepared to shut it down quickly rather than smashing it into the ground. My 11-year-olds caught onto it within an a few minutes. Should only use in a wide open space. Yes, one of them has cracked a couple of times, but the tape provided worked great for piecing it back together. The batteries last longer than I expected, but it still would be cool if they provided a second battery.

Sky Viper Vector

It is easy for a kid to control if they read the instructions. It is easier to start with a throw-to-go style takeoff.

Works great!

Super easy to fly and super easy to get used to. We have crashed this multiple times, used the included tape to repair broken foam pieces. All in all, I highly recommend.
