The fabric is very soft. The length is a little long for me, but I expected that because I am on the short side. I washed it and all the wrinkles came out. It was exactly what I wanted. I haven't worn it yet, so I don't know how easily it pills...but I'm ok with that because I consider this casual-wear.. I am definitely happy with the purchase. I would consider purchasing more of this style.
