Product Details

The 11.6" MacBook Air Notebook Computer from Apple is an ultraportable notebook computer with a thin and lightweight design. Apples engineers have leveraged the lessons they learned in designing the miniaturized iPad and applied them to the design of this 2.38-pound computer. The system is defined by its unibody aluminum enclosure. At its thickest point the computer is only 0.68" it tapers down to 0.11" at its thinnest. Computers in the MacBook Airs weight class are most often classified in the netbook category.

Netbooks typically feature less-than-full-size keyboards, cramped trackpads, and low-powered CPUs. Not so with the MacBook Air. This computer features a standard-size backlit chiclet keyboard, the same as on the larger computers in the MacBook line. It also has a large multi-touch glass trackpad, giving you full control over your computer without sacrificing ergonomics.

The MacBook Air is housed in an aluminum unibody enclosure, which is as strong as it is light. Because it is cut from a solid block of aluminum, the housing is stronger than those found on laptops built via traditional means. The computer is powered by a dual-core 4th-gen, low-voltage Haswell 1.3GHz Intel Core i5 processor and has 4GB of onboard 1600MHz LPDDR3 RAM. Graphics are provided by integrated Intel HD Graphics 5000. The computer features all the amenities you expect on a Mac a FaceTime HD webcam, dual-band 802.11ac Wi-Fi (also compatible with 802.11a/b/g/n), Bluetooth 4.0 and built-in stereo speakers.

So far I'm enjoying my Mac air laptop. it came a little scuffed and scratched but I expected this because iI bought it as a grade B. So other than that, I received exactly what I ordered. Still learning things about it but so far so good.

I love this small MacBook. It is easy to use and suits my needs just fine. Fun to use, I can take it anywhere with ease.

Very glad I decided to purchase this MacBook. I've actually never owned a Mac, but I've been looking for something light, performs well, has great battery life, and is affordable, which is pretty much like asking for a unicorn if you ask me. I've owned Windows PCs and Chromebooks, but always considered Mac a no-no because it was always too expensive. However, remembering that I also purchased an iPad Air from Tanga a couple of years back (in excellent condition - I still have and use that iPad Air to this day) I decided to check and see what their MacBook deals were like, and voila! I found my unicorn. I was a little nervous. This MacBook is easily half the price on Tanga as you'd find it anywhere else, so I was afraid it would arrive have some sort of catch to it. However, after using it as my daily driver over the past 4 days, I can safely say there aren't really any cons to this device at all. The hardware is in great shape, the battery has only been cycled 150 times and maintains 98% of its original capacity (1,000 cycles is the norm before "needing" to get it replaced). Battery life is awesome. Activity Monitor reports that the device still has 32% battery remaining after running on the battery for 34 hours and 57 minutes (however, I always put my computer to sleep when I close the lid). I do about 80% of my schooling and work online, so I needed something convenient. This device is small and very lightweight, and it's just the right size to slip into my purse. The backlit keyboard is a wonderful addition to any laptop. The Apple logo on the back lights up as you would expect. My only gripe is the resolution, but it's really not that bad. The device came pre-loaded with El Capitan. I did erase the hard drive and reformat. I installed the latest (and free) macOS update, Sierra, which has worked flawlessly on the device despite being almost 4 years old. Overall I would say I'm more than satisfied with this purchase!

I reset it and updated the OS but it was completely filthy when I got it. Looks like food and sauces of some sort on it. It took me some time to disinfect it. The screen hinge had to be tightened and it's still a little loose but it works fine. It does have a significant dent in the top corner but not bad for the price.
