This cord is what it is supposed to be, a weather resistant emergency generator cord. A fair value for a cord that I will use a couple times a year for back up power. I have the 40 foot cord. ( don’t see that listed as I wright this). Each lead measured at 0.1 ohms. I ran 15 to 20 amps thru it for 20 min. It was 40 degrees out, no increase in connector heat. Voltage at Gen was 122.5v, my inside house outlets were 119v. The connectors hooked up easy yet secure to a new Champion Gen and a 20 year old Brigs transfer switch. The included cord strap is not adequate for storing this. The 40ft fit very well on an Big Box Store reel that I had. The reel stores it nicely, unrolls for use in a few seconds, and takes about 1-2 min to roll back up at 40 degrees with a mix of using your hand to wrap it around the real and the reel’s knob. Some may think the cord is stiff, but I was surprised how flexible it was for a 10/4 SJTW at 40 degrees. Maybe it will turn in to a rock 0 degrees and would have to warm it to put it back on the real easily, no big deal if so. I paid $79 for a 40ft at the time of this review and recommend the cord for most intending emergency use. I would go SOOW with heavy Contractor grade connectors if a cord like this was to be used much more often or in extreme arctic cold conditions.

The only issue I am having with this cord is my decision to buy a smaller length cord than longer to give myself a little generator distance from the party barn I bought it for. Other than that….kudos on a well made product guys and gals!

This cord is very sturdy and heavy duty. The end caps are well made. I hope I never have to use it, out side of checking the generator.

An easy to see, bright color and it fits perfectly on a generator and gives enough distance from house to generator.

With the price of copper wire these days I was all ready to order power cable and connectors to build my own generator hook-up and try to save money because most of the one I saw online were extremely overpriced. But when I saw the one I needed from GEARIT. I decided to take a chance and buy. Glad I did. It actually cost less, I didn't have to spend time to assemble one and it's quality constructed. I'll come back and check them out first before going the DIY route.

Good for home owners...probably not rated for continuous use or commercial.
