Used this over the last power outage to hook up to my house, gets the job done with no thrills I only have the 10 foot one so couldn't go far but it worked.

We live in an area that has some fairly extreme weather, especially this year, and we need an extension cord that can take it. We rely on our generator during power outages. This is a great one!

Great for the money

Kits like this cannot be found in big box stores.

I design power electronics for a living and since this complete cord costs less than the individual connectors and wire I was very skeptical it wouldn't burst into flames if run at anywhere close to its 30A rating. Well, color me surprised, because each pole measured between 12 to 16 milliohms from end to end, and since 10 feet of #10 wire will contribute about 10 milliohms itself, those were very good total resistance values. An average resistance of 14 mR will result in about 0.4V of drop at 30A, for a round-trip loss of about 0.8V, or 0.33% of 240V; far less than the max 1-2% drop recommended for an extension cord (that said, you'd be pushing up against that limit with a 30' or longer cord). Time will tell if the cord will hold up to actual use, but it at least made a very favorable first impression for me.

From there... the transfer switch. I ordered this just in time, as a week or two later - bam. Power out. Reached where it needed to. Easy to spot, though sometimes I like things to blend in, and powered the house.

Just what you expect when in. Comes to a generator to house cord. Wires nice and thick no voltage loss with this cord thick cover coating would not be afraid to run across driveway when in use.

It arrived quickly and is very good quality.

I can run my food cart without generator. I have bin using it over month now and it's been serving me well

I bought this cable to cut in half to have a plug/cord and socket/cord. Cheaper that buying 2 plugs, the cable and assembling. The only thing to note is the cable is stiffer than genuine SO cord.
