I like this kind of ratchet system better than the lever on the bottom/top. It doesn't become loose by accident when working (e.g., leaning against a tote or picking up a heavy box. The box the belt comes in is gift quality, but it would save the consumer money if they gave the cuatomer the option to just send it in a buble bag or a simple box for those who are just getting the belt for themselves.

This is an awesome belt. The belt has to be cut to the size you want and secured to the buckle. Be sure to leave some extra room on your first cut, you can always cut more off later when you are sure you don't need it. To adjust the belt, just lift the leading edge of the buckle (the side you insert the belt into) and adjust the belt in our out as needed. The ratchet buckle holds very well. I have a 48" waist, carry a full size 1911 or Glock in an inside-the-waistband holster with the shirt tucked in over the holster and the belt and ratchet has no problems holding all of that together. If you are just carrying yourself, it should more than meet your needs.

I've been intrigued by the ratcheting belt concept for a long time. I've tried several different designs and they all have the same major flaw. To wit: they are easy to put on and darned near impossible to take off. The release mechanisms are always awkward and difficult to use. This one is the lone exception. It still goes on and adjusts to your waist beautifully, and when you need to remove it you simply lift the face of the buckle. Perfect! These guys figured it out; it doesn't need to be complicated to be good. Quite the opposite. This is simple elegance. Looks great, fits great, and works great. It deserves 10 stars!

Love this belt. I purchased two of these belts and they are great. No more being limited to where the holes are punched, no more stretch, torn holes from the buckle coming through. These click and lock right where you need them and present a clean appearance. A feature I really like is the inside of the belt is marked at every inch so you can determine the exact length needed, cut it with scissors, and lock it very securely to the buckle. This let me adjust the belt to the length I needed without having a lot of extra belt left over to flop around or have to feed the extra through belt loops. I've been wearing the belt everyday for several months now and they still look great and hold securely.

The buckle itself appears to be a sticker and it was slightly folded, which ruined the look. Also, after I cut the length of the belt to fit me and was inserting it into the buckle, the points that stick out to hold it got the end of my thumb and I bled a lot. Update. I changed from a 3 star to 5 star, as their customer service contacted me after my original review and they couldn’t have been more helpful. They sent me a new belt, a different model, of my choice, and it’s perfect. Very impressed by their customer service reaching out to me and making that offer! I will buy more.

This is my favorite Marino Avenue belt due to the color of the leather and the buckle. I use this one with jeans, khaki's and cargo shorts, goes with them all very well. I have gone out to dinner, attended meetings, hiked and done yard work with this belt and it has not failed or lost its shape. The plus with this is when moving a lot, or hiking, you may have to adjust belt tighter, with a quick pull of the end it is tighter. Or if sitting and eating have to let belt out a little you can do this very discretely. Leather color is great. How good is this belt in my opinion? This is the second one of this style and color I have bought, just in case they stop producing it. Other one has seen some heavy usage and looks like it can take a lot more.

I remember my dad had belts that lasted for years and years and years but when I started buying my husband belts they'd only last a year or two from where it would been backwards to lock it. I realized quality over the years has gone down but this belt fixes that problem by not having to be bit backwards. Love

excellent experience. originally, the belt that i ordered was a bit different in look and style than i expected. BUT these folks stood by their product and made things right (perfect). excellent quality and even better customer service. so i have modified my review below: the product quality is excellent. the buckle is good and solid and the styling is nice. i would prefer a "heavier" or thicker leather and also slightly wider. this belt is 3.0mm and i prefer 3.5mm. does not sound like a big difference but i prefer how the wider belt fits and looks. and again, the belt thickness could be a bit more hefty. and this is exactly what the company took care of. they provided me with a replacement belt at no cost to me - and the replacement is perfect.

This is an excellent ratchet belt. The design of the release is far superior to other ratchet belts I have. Instead of a small release on the lower side of the buckle that has to be pulled up, the entire buckle lifts on this belt. It is so much easier to use. The quality of the materials seems to be very good, too. The belt has a nice presentation, coming in a box, along with a matching key fob. My only suggestion would be to make the belt slightly wider. It's a bit narrow for my taste, but that is a very small complaint.

I bought this a few weeks ago after being tired of my original belt only adjusting every inch, this belt solved that with ease and is actually very fun to put on since it is basically one large zip-tie lol I bought another one of these shortly after as a gift for my father (the packaging is VERY pleasing and makes as a terrific gift) and he loved it. I accidentally cut my own belt too short and I contacted the seller to see where I could buy a new belt strap by itself, they were so kind and sent me a brand new one since they said their warranty covers accidental short cutting haha they were very helpful and I will be buying more of these as gifts in the future, thanks again
