Love the design and the functionality of this ice cream maker! I had a more manual version of something like this, so it was nice to get this one to replace it and be able to set it and forget it! This maker doesn’t have any kind of cooling or refrigerants in it to make the mix cold, it has an inner bowl you put in the freezer for 12hr to a day (instructions say 24hrs for best results… and after trying both, I’d have to say yes! Do it after 24hrs, you can also make 2-3 batches with the inner bowl then too since it holds 1.5L or around 6 cups at one go). I was scared to make the motor overheat or breakdown if I added nuts or inclusions, but it worked very well and blended it up to perfection! We tried a “French ice cream” (using egg yolks) and a cream-based mix, blended it both very smoothly! Also, makes it in like 10 minutes! It’s so handy (and did I say the machine looks so cute) !

I purchased this adorable ice cream maker recently and absolutely love it! So easy to use and makes fantastic ice cream. If you follow the directions, you'll make a wonderful batch of ice cream. I made up the ice cream mix the day before and refrigerated it until ready to use. Make sure you put the empty ice cream bowl that comes with the machine in your freezer ahead of time. I froze ours for about 36 hours. We had enough ice cream in one bath to feed 4 of us. Everyone loved it!!

This is a great ice cream maker. It is easy to use and east to clean (not dishwasher safe though) The only con I really have is I had to do to target to get this, because while I am a supporter of Tabitha Brown I try not to give my money to target. My only other con is they don't offer replacements for the cooling unit so you have to wait 12 hours to refreeze the unit if you want to make more that one flavor

I put the mixing bowl in the freezer 24 hours before I planned to use the machine, as directed. When I removed the bowl from the freezer, the outer wall had cracked down the side. I set it down on the counter to write this review and the cooling liquid inside leaked all over my countertop. I'll be making a return tomorrow.
