I had to delete an MS update for it to accept the product code to upgrade home to pro. It is a known issue that took a quick search to find the solution. Once the update was removed, the code was accepted and the upgrade began.

Windows 11 pro is an excellent upgrade to make from home edition. The price under $50 dollars for anything Windows I would consider a good buy
