Culligan filters have an activated carbon cartridge that absorbs the carbon-based VOCs (volatile organic compounds) as they pass through the filter, resulting in better water. Even with a softener the water can taste a bit strange. This water filter makes the water out of my fridge taste clean and clear! It’s crisp and takes out any mineral or salt taste! Would definitely recommend!
