These are easy to assemble and have a modern, elegant look. The solar collection is decent but not outstanding. Some of mine are bright well into the night (like 2 AM), others are dimming earlier (like 11 PM), just depends how much sun they get of course. One thing to note is that these lights are more like marker or beacons, they cast very little light outside of themselves, so if you're looking to light things up, these are not the ones you want. Now the bad news. I bought 24 of these less than a year ago and 9 of them are dead, that's a 37.5% failure rate, so not too good there. I did keep them outside for the winter, but a pretty mild winter only rarely crossing barely below freezing (32F). By contrast, I have 18 different solar lights (more the throwing light kind) and every one of these is still operating under the same conditions. I wanted to like these because the design is great, but I can't recommend them because the failure rate is so high.
