I was so excited to find this lamp in the store. Immediately bought it and brought it home to realize that both the class "cones" meant to surround the light bulbs were shattered in the box. I'm not sure if this is a quality issue or a packaging issue; either way, I am disappointed in the fragility of the product.

Threading crooked. Very difficult to unscrew to take apart. Took two strong people. Large lamp shade glass was so thin was broken when tried to remove from packaging. Small shade was much thicker and was fine. Defective glass in large shade Will not buy another lamp like this. Then just TRY to get it back into the original packaging!!!!!! I dare you!!!! NOT POSSIBLE!!!! Note that to return it HAS to be put back into original box!!!!!!yikes!!!!! NOT HAPPY AT ALL!!!!!! NOPE!!!! Not buying another lamp from target online. Better to get locally. At least then it’s easy to return! Too bad because we did like the lamp. Was going to use it on patio. Not happening now. Not happy.

Would give Zero stars if possible. We simply could not get the threads on these tubes to go together, no matter how perfectly vertically we had aligned them before we tempted to screw them together. Crap product. It seems to be, by reading the reviews, luck of the draw on whether the thing will go together or not. And, by the way, getting it back into the box to schlep back to the store is an even bigger pain in the neck. Buyer beware.

Threads were crooked, therefore didn’t line up, cheaply made. Returned.

I bought two of these and they both have issues. The switch broke on the first lamp. The second lamp leans at an angle because the groves are stripped on the base... so the lamp won’t screw tightly to the base. They are poorly base and not worth $60

The threading was at an angle on one of the sections so half of the lamp was at an angle. I should’ve believed the reviews when I read them...

I bought this lamp as an impulse purchase while at a Target Store. It was listed as being "on sale" for the same price as here. Anyway, I did not bother to check the online reviews before I made the purchase. If I had, I would have seen the numerous reviews that say that it does not stand straight. Mine did not and, in fact, got worse over a period of weeks. I kept checking to see if all the sections were tightly connected. Two nights ago, the lamp fell over and the glass shade shattered into many pieces. I cannot return the lamp until the stores open again for returns, so I'm stuck with it for now. However, if you are reading this, definitely do not buy this lamp. P.S. "Threshold" is Target's house brand.

Nice looking lamp but like some other reviewers mentioned, the main light stopped working. New bulbs didn’t work either. I had it for a few months when it stopped working so it was too late to return it. I still use it for the reading light but it’s ridiculous that the main light isn’t working.

To compare this lamp to a garbage can would be an insult to garbage cans. Garbage cans can at least serve a purpose. This lamp is more suited toward being compared to the actual garbage within a garbage can. I did not even get a chance to see if the lamp turned on or not. Instead, I was greeted with the wonderful realization that this lamp has threading issues. That's right, not even the metal poles connect together properly. No matter how well you tuck the cable in, no matter how straight on you screw the poles, they will not thread correctly. So this lamp is not even good at being decor. This lamp is simply good at nothing. I returned it so quickly I did not think to snap any photos.

At first I was impressed by this light, at least mechanically. It is a heavy bugger, and quite sturdy compared to lesser torchiere lamps I've owned. Unfortunately, that's where the quality ends. The dimmer switch on the main light is only good for about 15% dimming of "dimmable" LED bulbs, and they flicker throughout its range. Worse yet, though, is that the switch died completely at only 3 months! I'm an electrical engineer and have purchased a LOT of switches in my career. I have never seen one fail so quickly. Do NOT buy this lamp. It is JUNK!
