The lamp shines a huge amount of light, but be very, very careful when assembling. When putting the shade on top, there's a plastic ring that fits inside to hold the lamp in place, fastened on with wing nuts. The ring doesn't lay flush with the unit, so when screwing on the wing nuts, the plastic ring broke. I was trying to screw it on so the wing nuts were snug. I recommend only tightening until there is slight resistance to avoid breaking the ring. I glued it back together once and it broke again before I could get the light bulbs in. I used a different adhesive, was very careful, and it is holding - I hope for a long time. I do love the lamp. The shade is glass, not plastic, which is what I wanted. Just can't believe they'd put a plastic ring instead of metal.

Great Lamp Although Didnt Come With Dimmable Light Bulbs As It Would Flicker When On Low.

Nice lamp. The top used to flicker until I realized it is for dimmable lights only. The bottom one is not. My biggest takeaway and suggestion to Target is to sell replacement shades as the glass ones are extremely fragile. I’m on my second lamp because while I do enjoy it, the “aesthetic” is compromised when the shades aren’t on. Otherwise decent lamp. It’s lasted me a few years now but wouldn’t spend $70 on it again just because of the shades, but also wouldn’t return it.

Thought the lamp was defective at first because it flickered a lot with the first lightbulbs we tried (yes they are labeled dimmable, cannot provide the brand due to review policy). Switched to another brand of dimmable lightbulbs and it works fine now. The pole does not want to stand super straight, I have had the lamp for a few months now and it has started to tilt slightly which is annoying but not super noticeable unless you really look.

Very sturdy and balanced light....very nice

I purchased this lamp a year ago. After 11 months the top one started to develop an annoying flicker once it had been on for a hour or so. I tried changing bulbs, changing the outlet it plugged into - still annoying flicker. I thought that I had a defective lamp so I bought the same one again and it too is starting to develop the flicker although a lot less. I'm going to try using smaller watt bulbs to see if that will make a difference. Otherwise, its has a clean look that goes with pretty much any decor. If it didn't flicker I'd give it 5 stars.

Although there were plenty of sections to connect together, the lamp pole and shades were easy to put together, maybe 15 minutes total. This floor lamp has a sturdy base and thicker pole and looks very nice in our home office. The bottom light (single bulb) has a rotary on and off switch and the top light (2 bulbs) has also has a rotary on/off switch but is also a dimmer switch. I gave 4 stars for 2 reasons; (1) a section of the electrical cord appears to be stationary and would not pull through the pole so. I stuffed in the pole and (2) although the round base is sturdy and heavy, there is still movement when on carpet. I ended up up folding a piece of cardboard under one area of the base to stabilize it. I would help if these floor lamp bases had for small legs which would keep it stable on carpet. Despite the small issues I came across, this was a good purchase and happy with the look and functions of this floor lamp.

Easy to assemble. Looks great but base should be larger and/or heavier. I happened to have a stone tile to make it stop leaning. The other problem is that the top shade it not attached so would be dangerous if it tipped over as it May fly away as it falls. Even one screw would make it seem safer.

Great quality... Upper lamp produces a soft, bright, dimmable, evenly distributed light in the room. Reading lamp too bright, however, and irritating to others in the room, even with a 40 watt bulb, but thankfully has a separate on/off switch. Would have preferred not having the reading lamp at all but it wasn't available in that style with the brass finish, which is so hard to find these days.

Lamp was fairly easy to assemble. Seems to be sturdy. My only issue is that the bottom lamp is a little low for a high back chair. Make sure you measure before purchasing.
