I put it together myself, very easy. Not flimsy at all, looks great in our backyard.

the top bar going as far as mating the two, after assembly was kind of not too stable

It’s not real comfortable or sturdy. But it works. We have it on our screen porch and it does the trick. Just put a cushion on it and not too much weight.
