Nice for the Price

My husband assembled the swing by himself in about 20 minutes. The seat could be a little bigger for more comfort. You can squish three people in it but two people sit much more comfortably. For the price it’s nice.

Great outdoor patio swing

Great swing. The cushion is that that thick but is comfortable. My husband and I are able to sit on it comfortably. I'm 5'4 my feet touch the ground with sitting in it. It will not swing on its own you feet are are continuously help the swing go back and forth. Wish it was a little higher so it would go on it's own. Definitely a great swing overall .

Be sure to carefully interpret the instructions

Assembly was generally easy, some of the visuals were really confusing. Was it necessary to show the top bars (K? Was it?) edge-on in every single pictograph? If you boil it down to images only, there should be no spatial reasoning skills required to interpret the nuance of an alignment reference. It's an alignment reference. Screws/Nuts/Tools/etc were neatly organized on a diagram with some kind of sticky plastic on top. It felt like you had to really rip and cut it apart to get access to everything. The layout could also be improved - most things are grouped next to each other, but T and U were in the exact same bunch and I didn't realize there was a distinction. It wouldn't have affected the assembly quality because I made sure to tighten as much as possible and T/U are just slightly different in length. But I certainly put them at the wrong place. DO NOT SKIM THE INSTRUCTIONS. MAKE SURE YOU LOCATE EVERY SCREW BY IDENTIFIER, AS IT IS MENTIONED. I thought it was a really nice touch that every screw already had all the nuts and washers that it would use attached prior to being sealed. Okay, so, hand tool rant time. You get two sizes of allen wrench and a little dual size hand wrench. The hand wrench is thin, but the allen wrenches are about what you might expect. You're expected to assemble something that should hold 3 adults as they relax casually on a patio, but also expected to sufficiently tighten all the nuts with raw metal hand tools? Was a layer of plastic or something too expensive to justify? Is there a better way to interface with allen wrenches so that you aren't bearing all the torque with your fingers?? But yes, the small parts/tools are otherwise the best laid out I've seen in a end-consumer assembled product. But the instructions aren't the best. While attaching part E, you may physically have to stretch the A/B pillars to get the holes to line up. This is the most awkward phase of a solo assembly. Also, it felt like there were machining errors (very slight) both with the screwholes and also the parts that had nested fitting - at one point I had to physically unbend the outer coupling with a needle nose plier. The design seems intended to sag in the center of the main spar - it has a decent amount of give but only vertically. Shaking horizontally affects the entire frame equally without rattling. You can also swing slightly sideways as well as back and forth, that's due to the hook springs. The cushion feels a bit thin over the front bar of the seat. It is possible I mounted the cushion in the wrong orientation, though, so no points off for that. Cozy little porch swing, thus far. Don't expect it to tolerate horseplay (it certainly may), but it should be stable for casual use.

Canopy is important

There are definitely more expensive much sturdier swings out there but the canopy was important because of the birds and the tree. My 15-year-old one has finally failed. This one is not constructed quite as well. They found ways to cut cost but the price also reflects that. As you can see I didn't need half of the steel that came with it because I have it hanging from the tree. it would really be nice if someone would engineer a hanging swing with a canopy to keep the bird droppings off.

Not what I was expecting but okay for the money

I bought this for my mom’s birthday. She was super excited to get it but when we opened it, it was missing several very important pieces. My mom was so disappointed. Update: After several back and forth emails and waiting for the item to be shipped, we finally received a replacement a couple of weeks later. I guess it’s okay for the money. Not really what my mom was hoping for. They just don’t make things like they used to. It sits too close to the ground and the of the seat is shorter than what you would expect. Your knees hang over the edge much further than any swing/chair I’ve ever had. You definitely need an extra cushion because the bar hurts the back of your thighs. My mom thought that it was more appropriate for children. She had one for years that was much sturdier and fitting for an adult and she paid $100 for it. But those days are long gone.

Wish it had better instructions, but was still easy.

I wish I could add pictures. Ok, so first of all, the nuts/bolts/screws/hardware etc came very cleanly orgnized and labeled on a sticky sheet, laminated, so there's no confusion about what you need to use, and it all stuck to the plastic, so things wouldn't roll away. The images in the constructing pamphlet could have been more clear. I got the basic gist (there are no words, only photos), but unfortunately, I put the top bar pieces on backwards, so I can't include the roof covering unless I take the thing apart, I wish it had been more clear about the pieces needing to face certain ways. Also, the parts often had 2-3 different stickers on them, so I thought I had some wrong pieces, or missing pieces. But if you searched extra (and looked on the bags) you could find the extra letters. The bar in the A... E bars... those won't reach across until you do the lower back support bar, which pulls the whole thing together, then you can attach the E bars. I wish they switched the instructions around to do those short bars after the long bar. It seems relatively sturdy. I'm not worried about it bearing weight, but if you swing on it (and I'm not talking about playground swinging, just sitting on the bench and swing/rocking, I can imagine this will probbaly move around. Anyway, it was still good. Oh yes, one of the feet came broken. It's not a make it or break it moment, but for $100, I expect this come to new, not broken.

Pretty good for the price

This patio swing is pretty good for the price I'd have to say. It arrived quicker than I expected which was nice! The assembly was easy enough for me to understand - although a couple of double takes with the instructions - we got there! It doesn't feel as sturdy like those you would buy for 300 dollars as in... I wouldn't run up to it and take a big leap on it lol. I bought this for my mom's birthday and she really likes it. It's perfect for her because she's a petite lady. Not recommended for someone who is on the heftier side.
